Anyone done scouting reports on the 16 umps in the game? Have you also found that they are consistent with what they have reputation for calling?

It seems to me to be like it was last year, total randomness from call to call.

There was a thread about this last year but I haven't taken the time to find it. I posted in the glitches thread that they need to include an option inside franchise to turn off umpire personalities. It will likely get ignored but at least I tried.

None have personalities, just inconsistency.

I had one pitch last game that was totally in the k zone, wasn't even touching the line and it was called a a ball, lol. I guess he was a low k zone ump. Can't say that i really mind this though as it adds to the randomness in the game. A person can always switch to standard if he doesn't like it.

I actually like the personalities; I'm just not finding them to be consistent.

they do have a setting called "umpire balls and strikes" you can turn that off and all calls are made perfectly...
I love it on varible personally, no ump ever gets everything right.

I wish the umpires were consistent. From call to call it is complete randomness and doesn't really matter who is behind the plate.

"umpire balls and strikes" you can turn that off and all calls are made perfectly...

That option exists in the global settings from the main menu. Once you load your franchise that option no longer exists. I have it set to off in the main menu global settings but I still have variable umpires, just like I still have pitcher confidence despite having it turned off.

Huh? Thanks for writing that in bold letters, because you know in normal print I wouldn't of understood that at all.

Read my post again. Did I mention I have a problem with the calls being made? No, I just wish X umpire had a high strikezone and stuck with it. Or they were consistent throughout the game. They don't have personalities.

I do want it to be variable I just want X umpire to keep his strikezone somewhat consistent. Not perfect, but high or low.

do you mean through out the game or all the time. My complaint with the Umps is their strikezone seems to change during the game. Like i was playing the yankees and they were calling low strikes all game then 8th and 9th inning come around and they are suddenly not calling it and shocker i give up a couple of runs.
Is that what you're kind of talkin about?
