Im sure someone has mentioned it already but in case they havent, coupled with the fact that there is no way Im reading through this entire thread to find out, the game is constantly giving errors on the catcher when its merely a ball in the dirt. It seems like if they throw a ball in the dirt that ends up being ball 4 and thus a walk the game then gives the catcher an error. In my last game Bengie Molina had 3 errors for the CPU and Russell Martin had one for myself and they were all on pitches in the dirt resulting in a walk. Apologies if its been mentioned already.

They fixed those not sticking in the playlist. This is apparently a new glitch, possibly a side-effect from the patch. For the record, the limit HAS BEEN 499, the latter half just wouldn't stick. For me, 245-up wont play; I've already posted it in B&G.Comment

Re: MLB '10: The Show Patch #2 is Available, Post Impressions Here
I do have to say that after Patch #2, the game seems to have gotten noticeably better. I still do find some bugs, however, (like a ball hitting a runner and the runner not being out, randomly the animations speed up to 10x the normal speed which really sucks when it's the pitcher and you're trying to steal a base) but overall the game just seems to be more solid. I think this is a great improvement over last year's game, and the only thing that has me a TEENCY bit concerned is the purchased RttS Training Points.
I haven't experienced the glitch with the rosters that makes it impossible to move past a random date on the schedule, but if it does happen in your RttS (where you can't do anything to fix it), I'm wondering if SCEA would reimburse us for the training points which are now lost and unrecoverable? Yeah, I've only spent $5.00 on my guy just to move past some impossible attribute goals and to maintain attributes when the ones I need to achieve take up all my points, but it's still $5.00. I'm sure there are people out there who have spent far more on it than that, and it would be pretty sour if their RttS got corrupted and they lost that purchase. Perhaps if that happened, SCEA could set up a submission website where users could move their save file to a flash drive, and upload it from their computer. SCEA could then go into the save file and correct the issue for them? (BTW, for the "RttS Roids" that I've purchased, I keep track of what's been purchased and used and the only points I spend to improve attributes (and not maintain them) are the ones I achieve in the game unless some attribute is required to be raised a TON to meet my goals and the manager decides to bench me for no reason).Comment

BTW - The audio edit features on this game are SUPERB. Love how I can customize jukebox, walk-ups, reliever-entries, etc. Makes the game so much more fun. I even found Okajima's "Okie-Dokie, Okajima!" reliever-entry tune and added it to the game. So cool!Comment

I have been on a military mission for 2 weeks now so I am unable to download the patch yet. My question is if I start my franchise now without the patch will the patch affect my game when I do download the patch? Will I have to start over or will it make the changes with limited issues?
As a son of Vietnam vet...Godspeed.

Here's the quote, but again, I'm not sure if it's related to the color problem, but maybe??
Regarding 1080I (Interlaced)
After seeing this thread we checked out 1080I mode and indeed on some TV's it is noticeably blurrier than last year. (Some TVs don't have an issue with it). The applied filter setting was an unintentional side effect of another change. The filter has been removed from 1080I and it now looks much much better. We even dragged out a legacy 1080I crt and made sure it looked good both on CRTs and on LCD panels. I'm sorry that slipped through. I agree the blurring effect is annoying. Please bear with us and know that the change is already a part of our next patch (not the March 3rd patch).Comment

Any mode.
Hit select to bring up the display to look at pitcher info and hitter info during the game.
When you exit this the display loses all onscreen pitcher pitches display with the buttons to select what pitches. Pitch selection info is gone as are the hit r2 for guess pitch etc. All info is gone.
Happens everytime you hit select.Comment

No, I play with it off. I didn't notice it pre-patch. The other thing that I have noticed is that it doesn't happen to the computer. It is smooth as silk."I have no trouble with the twelve inches between my elbow and my palm. It's the seven inches between my ears that's bent." Tug McGrawComment

Re: MLB '10: The Show Patch #2 is Available, Post Impressions Here
The other day I was getting really frustrated with how there seems to be no difference between turf and grass on ground balls in the outfield. This is extremely frustrating when playing in Oakland, as it is a huge part of what makes Oakland a pitcher's park. I just figured that it was impossible for the developers to distinguish the two for game play. Then I played in Texas, and the grass works perfect. I was very impressed with the difference in the way the ball moves, or really doesn't move, in Texas. Very impressive that they were able to do that. Very unfortunate that they didn't do this in Oakland.Comment

Has anyone else seen a pitcher injured on a shot back up the middle? I've seen plenty of batted balls hit the pitcher hard, but have yet to see a pitcher injured due to this. Several times, however, they replay in "Show-Mo" w/Hud commenting "He's a gamer". In real life, everyone holds their breath when this happens. Most of the time the pitchers are indeed, "gamers" and are okay, but shots like this do lead to injury... Sometimes quite serious. Remember Padres' SP Chris Young taking that Pujols line drive off his forehead? Yikes!
Sooooo glad they did include this feature in 10 rather than having the ball pass through the pitcher as if he's a ghost like in '09. Now if the pitcher were injured once in a great while, that would be awesome. And it would certainly even out things, 'cause that guy's taking some screaming hits away!Comment

Re: MLB '10: The Show Patch #2 is Available, Post Impressions Here
Not having played the game until today these are general game impressions as opposed to patch related but the other topics have closed.
There's almost no feel to the hits off the bat. An infield grounder feels the same as a HR. I'm not sure if it's a sound thing or a feel thing but it's not right.
Graphics look great and as usual the animations are nothing short of spectacular.
While at the plate the hitter/pitcher duel is amazing.
The pitching is absolutely awful. Both versions. Classic doesn't have any indication of when to let the ball go so it feels overly random and I thought the meter has always been bad.
Great job on the little things as usual,it really adds a lot to the presentation. It even names the umpires.Comment

While I have some problems with franchise mode, I'm absolutely in love with the gameplay. It's almost perfect.
I say almost because this... this I hate. And it happens far too often, sadly. (sorry for the crappy SD quality! also, video might not be live yet, YouTube is chugging along right now)
