Nope, not with that lineup. They improved thier pitching this year too so they should be over .500 for sure.

Hehe... Detroit! They're pretty bad out of the box with the game this year. Hopefully Knight's rosters make them a little better before I start my franchise.

I used to like playing as the Pirates but they since they lost Bay and Wilson they're not as fun anymore (don't ask me why but I really love Jack Wilson)

The Natinals are pretty fun - they've at least got Dunn and Zimmerman.

No offence because the team has talent but they're in a division where there's a lot more talent and that's the Royals. Played it out of the box and the water in center at their stadium was pretty. I think I used the baby blue jerseys and they were sick. (Imagine father's day if you can use them+ the armbands going blue.) And throw out Grienke and his stuff is a little nasty. I got like 12 or 13 strikes against the White Sox.

I agree, they aren't crappy. Lets call them "challenged".

Otherwise, Al Davis ruined our stadium and I'm very happy our colors aren't some variation of red, blue or black like 95% of the league.

He sure did, but what's with the crappy location? Oakland is a wonderful town. I have live all over the world and would never live anywhere else. Our colors are also great. I really hope they don't change if/when the A's move. All we need are more red uniforms.

To the OP, playing with the A's is indeed tough. I think the A's should be listed as one of the worst teams. Lowest in power numbers by far, and this year they downgraded in power. Let's really hope their speed will compensate in real life, as it surely hasn't helped me in the game. I am 10-30 right now, 11.5 games back from Texas.

Usaully the pirates royals,indians and the o's I like using them to play against the high ranked teams. I guess the 'stros are boderline crappy I play with them all the time.

i use the indians. i dont think they are crappy though. They have hitters and can score runs and have enough power to make me happy. Their pitching is terrible though. my era is 4.66 which is realistic, but very high for me in a video game

They are pretty crappy on the game though, unless it's primarily user error on my part (more than likely). Same issues in the game they'll probably have in real life...hitting with RISP. I get plenty of hits but can't score many runs. Manzella leads the world in GIDPs.

Yesterday I blew a 2-run lead in the 9th to the Cards because Keppinger let an easy double-play ball go between the wickets. It was awesome *sarcasm*.

I use the Royals (once the Full Minors Roster comes out anyways).

They are crappy, indeed, but I don't play with them because of that. I play with them because they're my team.

the mets. i play with them sometimes to get a good laugh on how the teamw itht he second highest payroll finishes near last place.

Although i control all 30 teams...My 2 teams to actually use are the RED SOX and NATS.

The NATS have great UNIS (IMHO), a cool stadium and some good young talent to build around. Dunn is a beast....but K's like crazy (just like IRL)...Zimmerman is SOLID....Morgan is great in the outfield and can hit....Wilkerson is a staple in LF and their pitchers are pretty good. BTW Jason Marquis can HIT...WELL!!! He won a game for me last nite with 2 doubles. Just a fun team to use.

I was thinking about playing as the Nats this time. Its funny when you play as your favorite team on video games because you like to rebuild, then they get better (Rays). For the last two years I feel lost because every year my team was bad and I could rebuild them. Now most of the players I like and would not want to get rid of them so I pick other teams that need to improve but I feel lost. Its not like the rays are burning down the world and the Yanks and sox are tough but I like to pick teams that are the bottom of the barrel.

Pirates. Zach Duke is a pretty good pitcher in the game and McCutchen and Jones always get on base for me. Bullpen isn't that great though.
