All I do is follow mlbdepthcharts.com and mlb.com/transactions and it lists every player for every team that gets injuried, called up or sent down, put on assignment, whatever. It's the best. Every sports game should implement this option. The AI never seems to get lineups correct and it's awesome following right along with the season. Currently 7-4 in my buccos franchise and I can't wait for the team to call up Pedro Alvarez.

Question, once the drafts are complete can I edit some of the draft picks to mirror actual impact players for the start of the 11-12 season?
    I agree with countryboy.
Personally, I just don't see the need for CPU ROSTER CONTROL any longer(okay....the draft )......30 team control is so much more flexible...if they can add a new option for the draft(to choose which teams you want to have the CPU pick for)....adios!

steelers...you can't edit them until they show up in the off season.(and you signed them)

Sadly, no...once you start without it...your stuck.

      Knight, another question:

I'm 3 games in to my franchise using 30 team control (but I only play as the Yanks), all lineups set to Manual...but if a player for a CPU team is fatigued and needs a day off, will the CPU give it to him or do I need to step in since I control lineups? I'm sure I'll come across this soon enough...I was just wondering if you knew already.

Re: 30 team franchise is a blast!

Does anyone know if there's a workaround for the newspaper broken record glitch? In my franchise (30 team control) after every game Jeter broke the stolen base record, Nick Johnson extended his hit streak to a record 1 game, or Teixeira collected RBI number 1, a new record! Its funny but awfully annoying. Its not a killer, just something I was looking to fix if possible.

It also seems that during gameplay with this glitch present, the ticker doesn't come up with "Milestone Watch: A-Rod has 583 career home runs" or other similar milestones, but I haven't confirmed this 100%.

the CPU will adjust lineups for fatigue in any simmed game, they'll do this for your Yankees as well. If you sim a game and Robinson Cano is tired, the CPU will automatically sub Pena in his place. Wishing I did 30 team control in my Red Sox franchise, i'm 60 games into it and just now i'm starting to notice the CPU make stupid roster moves and fudging their lineups (Carl Crawford hitting 3rd?). I don't care that rosters aren't accurate to real life as I started this franchise back in March.

and that's happening even w/ CPU Roster control on? that sucks...question, can you turn off fatigue and avoid all these lineup issues? last year there was a fatigue option, but even w/ it turned off players were still being sat out and lineups being flipped...why don't they just make a FATIGUE slider that actually works? then there would be no lineup issues ( i don't actually own '10 yet so i'm hoping someone can shed some light on this)

Thats one of the biggest advantages right there. Also with 30 team control..the cpu will trade amongst itself and if you deem a trade to be "unrealistic" then you can control the teams and switch them back. You could also make sure that teams don't get rid of that star player, etc...

30 team control trumps roster control in a pretty significant way.

Ok, i'm starting to understand...but for me i just play one season and i like to do all "real life" trades and keep rosters and lineups up to date as i play through the season (like most here)...if someone is injured i can just take them off of the active roster (w/ CPU roster control on) and as far as fixing the CPU's bad trades, I NEVER let the CPU do any trades anyway since i keep my franchise following the real MLB transactions, so FOR ME i just don't think using 30 team control will really benefit me (if there is something i'm missing do tell) but i do see the advantages if you're going to let the CPU do their own trades...

ok, since i'm still rockin' old school ps2 version, am i missing 30 team control?? when i started a new franchise i'm only finding the option for cpu roster control and not 30 team control.

                thanks!

That is what I wanted to know. I am controlling all 30 and I only play the games for one team though. I noticed that some of the opposing teams players energy level was low and I was not sure if I had to give them a rest myself or if the cpu would automatically rest them.

I do not sim the games for the team I control but I sim the other games.

For me I play one season and thats it and follow the real moves that happen in real life. For that reason 30 team control is absolutely perfect for me. Im loving it!!!
