Well how do you kill the ball with him. I am in a pirates franchise, and he is really struggling through the first 6 games. No homers, No RBI's...what's the key?

I just had to start being more patient at the plate. I was swingin at way too much junk with him and trying to crush everything. 8 games in to my second season he is hitting .355 with 3 hr's and 7 RBI's. I picked up Adam Dunn in the offseason to bat cleanup so that could possibly tie into Jones seeing better pitches in the 3 slot

Now I don't know how well they will turn out in real life, but in my franchise I'm trying to build around those guys. They all have A or B potential so I'm hoping they will all turn out to be atleast half decent.
Pirates are your best bet for young talent, not to mention their pitching in Daniel Mccutchen, and also dont forget Garrett Jones, he has slumped since his first two games this year but the kid is young and has power.

Also Alvarez will be a monster I beleive.

As for me I like my chances with the Royals; Tim Melville, Mike Montgomery, Aaron Crow, and somewhat Mike Moustakas has me excited in my franchise. I usually try and play all 162 games however I want to see how much of a contender i can get them too, so I am playin every sixth game. Cant forget Kia Kialhau either. or Buck Coats.

Well i just played my 6th game, and i managed to pull out a double with Jones, but i am just amazed he hasn't jacked one out yet, or has no rbi's...i'm not scoring alot of runs though.....i am way to impatient with him also. I think i may be tryin to hard at doing good with him...Hopefully it gets better..hes batting a miserable 197

Cameron Maybin, Gaby Sanchez, Logan Morrison, Mike Stanton all have bright futures in the Marlins organization. And of course Hanley is the ultimate franchise player, but I would think Florida won't be giving him up.

uhhhhh...I am a die hard Giants fan and even I have to admit Kemp is probably the best CF in the game. Dude is an absolute stud offensively, a 5 tool player. Plus he has great range in CF and a monster cannon for an arm. He can steal 30 bags, hit 30 homers, get 200 hits if he wanted to...what more do you want? You obviously haven't been watching too much baseball.

my Pirates chise is destined for doom, i can't get a budget increase and all the young talent is about to price right out of my team.... Alvarez is playing well, but I can't get any consistent offense... also Milledge has been a bum for me and is about to be traded for depth and locked up players

Hanson is a beast...Also Matt Latos from San Diego progresses into an ace in my franchise....Strausburg should be mentioned as well...You need good pitching to build a team around in my opinion.

pitching doesnt mean anything if your offense doesnt score
a team can be out scored but they cant be out pitched

Wait. What? Kemp not a top 5 CF? Not even close? Please tell me 5 that are better.

There's no better answer than Justin Upton. Dude was an all star at 21. 'Nuff said.

Then there's Hanley, who may be the best player in the game outside of Pujols. After Hanley I'd say Longoria or Braun. I'm leaning towards Braun though. Following those two I'd say Prince Fielder and Matt Kemp. At least as far as hitting is concerned.

If we're talking pitchers? Felix Hernandez. Dude already had 58 career wins, and he just recently turned 24 on last week. Kids a total monster. If he continues to dominate for 12-15 more years, he could be our next 300 game winner.

Then there's Tim Lincecum, who at 25, is arguably the best pitcher in the game.

After Tim I'd say Clayton Kershaw. Dudes a K machine, and he's only 22. He, like J-Up, was an All Star at 21. Tommy Hanson comes next.
