Not sure if this is on here I hope I didn't overlook it;
Playing as the Indians at home and away, when I hit a Ground Ball up the middle to the center fielder the announcer says
"This should be two bases as It Rattles up against the Wall."
but the center fielder fields it cleanly just behind second base.

oh this doesn't ruin my game experience, It makes me laugh everytime he says it. GREAT GAME!

Why was it incorrect? jeff francouer NY Mets, threw a runner out at home plate and was referred to as ichiro.<!-- / message -->

Incorrect Commentary? Whenever a ball goes in the dirt, they always act like the runner was stupid for not advancing

Why was it incorrect? When a ball barely touches the dirt, he goes like: ".....And unfortunately, no advance."

Why was it incorrect? When a ball barely touches the dirt, he goes like: ".....And unfortunately, no advance."

Actually I believe Matt says "And fortunately, no advance." Not and unfortunately.

Incorrect Commentary? "you can be careful with a four run lead, but you don't want to be walking people" After the opposing pitcher went 3-1 in the count.

Why was it incorrect? I was at bat and our team had the four run lead so that comment wouldn't apply to the pitcher.

Incorrect Commentary: Ichiro mentioned as throwing a runner out at the plate

Why Was It Incorrect: It was actually the Mets Jeff Francoeur that threw out the runner. Matt V. was saying something about not running on Ichiro.

Incorrect Commentary? Made a comment something like "let's look at who is up to bat next inning on Opening Day."

Why was it incorrect? This was the fifth game of the regular season.

Incorrect Commentary: Matt often comments on pitches being in the dirt when they are low in the strike zone.

Why was it incorrect? The pitches are not in the dirt, just low in the strike zone.

Game mode: Offline, single player, franchise

Incorrect Commentary: Bottom of the 7th in a ST game between Twins (me) and Rays in Turbine Park. Pinch hitter (Zobrist) hits a lead off home run. Next batter is also a pinch hitter and Matt mentions that "This is a great RBI opportunity for the pinch hitter; a runner on third with nobody out."

Why was it incorrect? The 'no out' was correct, but there were no runners on base as the previous batter had hit a home run.

'These guys could really use a lead off single' when I am not the leadoff hitter that inning.

Why was it incorrect?
I DO lead off the game (as a SS, FWIW), but I am not leading off that inning. This has happened with both one and two outs, and both without and with runners on.



There are some other RTTS ones I've seen in this thread that I've noticed as well. And sorry if this is GBPH.

Incorrect commentary: Home team is winning in the 9th, 2 outs, batter is down to his last strike. Matt will say something along the lines of "And with two outs these fans are really making noise now!" There is then about a three second silence before the big crowd roar kicks in.

Why incorrect?: Well, Matt is sort of predicting the future because the crowd is not making noise when he makes the comment. Three seconds later, the crowd comes to life. It just sounds really weird.

It actually isn't 3 seconds, in all cases this has happeend, it's the second pitch after he makes that comment. If it's a ball or a foul, then the crowd gets loud, for one pitch. if that second pitch ( when they are loud ), is a ball, then they all sit down like it's just another pitch.

Incorrect Commentary: After pinch hitting - more info

I doubled as a PH to start the inn, next batter BJ Upton (batting leadoff already 1-3) Commentator says the manger isn't doing him any favours bringing him in to PH against a righty, Upton grounds to 2nd and the next man up is Escobar again 1-3 for the game, commentator uses the similar righty vs righty PH comment, then when Escobar singles to drive me in the commentator says he does a great job coming in off the bench.

Why was it incorrect?: Subsequent batters aren't pinch hitting

MODE: Franchise

Comment: Whenever I have my closer closing out the game for me, Campbell or Hudler will say, "If he can close this this out, he will be in line for his x save this season". When the game ends and I get the save, he says "Good job there as he gets his x+1 save of the season".

Why: what he says in the end is always 1 up of the true number of saves my closer has. This happens every time.

Incorrect Commentary? At Kaufmann Stadium PA announcer during time out describes ticket packages on sale to include games with the defending AL champion Detroit Tigers

Why was it incorrect? That happened in 2006, the Sox, Rays and Yanks have been AL champs since.
