Incorrect commentary: Home team is winning in the 9th, 2 outs, batter is down to his last strike. Matt will say something along the lines of "And with two outs these fans are really making noise now!" There is then about a three second silence before the big crowd roar kicks in.

Why incorrect?: Well, Matt is sort of predicting the future because the crowd is not making noise when he makes the comment. Three seconds later, the crowd comes to life. It just sounds really weird.

Maybe Matt has an applause sign that he turns on right after saying that, lol. Sorry, I couldn't resist

Comment: Whenever I have my closer closing out the game for me, Campbell or Hudler will say, "If he can close this this out, he will be in line for his x save this season". When the game ends and I get the save, he says "Good job there as he gets his x+1 save of the season".

Why: what he says in the end is always 1 up of the true number of saves my closer has. This happens every time.

This was in last year as well except they always said x+2 at the end of the game. Mostly evidenced in RTTS.

Incorrect Commentary: In the 7th or 8th innings there is a pan of the stadium with Matt saying "Opening Night across baseball"...This is usually followed by who is coming to hit in the following inning.

Why Incorrect: It happens on days other than opening night. I heard it last night during the 16th game of the season.

Incorrect Commentary? At Kaufmann Stadium PA announcer during time out describes ticket packages on sale to include games with the defending AL champion Detroit Tigers

Why was it incorrect? That happened in 2006, the Sox, Rays and Yanks have been AL champs since.

I think you mean Comerica Park there, Kaufmann is the Kansas City Royals' home stadium.

Incorrect Commentary: Actually, it is a valid commentary from Rex: "Let´s hope the team snaps back for tomorrow´s game!" (or something like that)

Why was it incorrect? Well, Rex said it 3 times in less than 30 seconds!

I had one very similar to this last night in Exhibition mode. Grounder up the middle with that same commentary.

Why Incorrect: There was no one on base.

I was on base in the 7th and the next batter walked, Rex (I think) said it was the 1st time we had shown patience at the plate when every one else had been swinging (or similar to that) as it was our 1st walk of the game.

I had walked earlier in the game as had 3 others (I checked and it was the 1st walk off that relief pitcher).

Commentary: While hitting as either Mike Napoli or Bobby Abreu (as it seems to only happen when one of these two is at the plate), Matt V. will call a pitch wrong but announce the count as correct. If its 1-0 and the pitcher throws a strike he'll say "and that one misses to the Angels' catcher (or right fielder) to even the count at 1-1. This also happens when a ball is thrown he calls it a strike.

Why its Incorrect: The pitcher threw a strike yet it apparently "missed" or vice versa.

Franchise or Exhibition

The commentary refers to Colorado manager Jim Tracy as "Dusty". I've noticed it on several occasions such as visits to the mound, double switch, etc.

Vasgergian will simply say "And Dusty makes his way to the umpire to make the double switch..."
