Maybe it's just me, but I always felt like people who cut through everything aren't getting the true experience of The Show. Most of my friends just try and zip by with the game, it's like damn chill out and enjoy it haha
Same here. Been playing online and everyone rushes through everything. Baseball games aren't fast, I'd rather enjoy the experience and the flow of a game like a true game. Just annoying how much of a rush people on-line are.

I'm new to The Show and it takes me probably 1.5 hours. Never actually paid attention to actual time spent, but with a newborn I find myself having to shut off far too often about 4-5 innings into the game. I really wish in-game saves were available.

            Interesting stuff...

Most keep it in the 45 - 60 minute range, but a few enjoy the slower pace of a real game...

I'd like to knock them off faster, but I really fall inot the 'real time' pace of the game and the next thing you know...a couple hours is gone...

Oh well, it's pretty immersive and this is my first year on PS3, so there's lots of stuff to look at that's new to me...

45min to 1.5hrs. Which is great timing when you compare it to real life.

Re: How Long Does It Take You to Play a Game?

I play it quite differently than most. Game is tied(including 0-0 score), I pitch and hit both. If cpu takes the lead, i hit only until i tie or take the lead. If I am winning, I pitch only until game is tied or cpu takes the lead.

I finish in about 30-35min this way sometimes. Then sometimes it takes nearly a hour(all depends on the score). I play with real time, no replays.

Im trying to figure out some other way to play as well but havent figured it out yet. I'd like to still hit sometimes when Im in the lead, and pitch when Im behind. I think I'll start rotating that around each game so i can. If I can get the lead and hit only, i could easily finish a game in under 30min if i take the lead early. Any ideas or things that u do to finish quicker?

Just got rid of my 360 (had MLB 2k9...worst game of all time) to get a PS3 and the Show with no regrets. This game is almost worth the system...
Same thing with me dude. I had a 360 for a few years, it was cool and all, but man when it came to playing that awful 2k game, couldn't do it. The NBA 2k series was/is always a great game but for the love of anything I could never figure out how they could mess up a baseball as much as they do year in and year out.

I broke down and copped the PS3 after debating for like a year back in '08. The game is definitely worth the system IMO

Well, I read through and didn't seen anyone comment on the manager mode version.
I watch ALL cutscenes, batter walkups, pitcher entries..the works.
My games in my manager mode franchise take anywhere from 2 1/2, to 3 hours and 15 minutes long.
My shortest game ever was about 2 hours long.

Was about to say the same Reds. MOM player as well that watches EVERYTHING. 19 games in and I would say my shortest game being around 2 H 15 Min with my longest (17 Innings) being around 5 hours Got to love baseball to play this mode and watch it all. Feels like a real game, rushing makes it feel not so real IMO

1 to 1 1/2 hours typically. My skipping through cut-scenes varies depending on my mood, time, etc. Because of in-game saves, a feature that all sports games should have, I'm able to take my time when I want to and not worry about whether I'll be able to finish the game.

Faster video games leave time for real baseball games. Spring is a very busy time for baseball enthusiasts! Between local games, MLB games, the new Show game, and that silly distraction every day between 9 and 5, it's hard to find time for everything.

I played a 14 inning game and it took 2 and a half hours. Unless it was a cool replay I skipped through them. 2 1/2 hours is a long time and it's almost sad I can only fit one game in that time span but I enjoy every second

In game saves are fantastic, but a big problem in the game at least for the last couple of years is: the pitcher's confidence will reset to where it was when you began the game. Whether he is pitching good or bad, it will reset. This is bothersome to me
