The wild pitches are a problem regardless, and I've tested this to death. Play with Consistency at 10 and throw a low curve when the confidence is at half or less

People are cranking it up and complaining that the CPU is attacking the corners with great accuracy and consistency (go figure).there is no right or wrong setting and ultimately your patience and skill will lead to walks regardless, but if you're struggling then lowering it will definitely be a step to see more balls and more walks.

Have you tested your theory? I urge you to play with Consistency at 0 and Consistency at 10, leave Control at default (for several games each). Ill wager that one is more likely to yield 4 pitch walks. The trick is finding your balance. If you see one more WP here and there, then so be it (since you see too many in the first place, especially during low confidence situations, regardless where Consistency is). I've had 5 WPs with Consistency at 10 also.

For the record, my walks have noticeably increased with lower Consistency. Check the pitching charts after each game. You'll see a wider spread.

I agree, since lowering to 5, the walk to strikeout ratio is much better. I don't have to strikeout 10x to get 4 or 5 walks. I have games where my walks equal or exceed strikeouts which I had not experienced with cpu consistency above 6. It could be I'm learning the patterns a bit better but I notice a difference.

Hits don't get easier, you don't get more HBP and Passed balls either. The game does not get easier.

I haven't tested Consistency on 0 and 10 so I can't argue with you on that since you've put the time in that I haven't. I will say that I agree that Consistency at 0 would yield more balls, but it seems that it would yield more meat pitches as well. I know when I went from default to either 7 or 8 on Consistency (whatever PsychoBulk's sliders are), I definitely saw the meat pitches decrease. I don't mean JUST 'Meatballs' per se, I mean pitches that catch a lot of the plate in general. So for me, by increasing Consistency I got fewer of these good pitches to swing at so I am getting deeper in to counts, hence more walks.
