Re: Year 1 complete(possible spoilers)..?'s feel free to ask
Congrats on making it through year one, CB. You always manage to get through multiple seasons in this game and I'm amazed. I don't think I've ever finished 162 games without at least simming some of the season.
Curious if you made the playoffs as a wildcard? Who won the World Series and what was the matchup? I'd like to see league leaders and the award winners, as well.
Man, that's crazy that you are having to replace your entire coaching staff. Should make for an interesting off-season. I hope you are able to keep Albert in your lineup.Currently Playing:

Countryboy, let me re-phrase my question a bit... How did YOUR, non slider tweaked player stats look? Were your HR, 2B's & "K" totals online league averages/typical player yearly results?
All-Star level on both sides of the ball?
I've always appreciated your contribution to these boards, thanks in advance ;-)

All of my stats were on pace with the league. I was even 17th in the league in drawing walks which I will take, especially since I went from using Guess pitch to not and adapting to not being a free swinger.
I appreciate your kind words as well.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

anti and dj...I'll post league leaders and standings as well as playoff results in a few. Have to fire up the system to get all the standings. Didn't write them down nor the league leaders.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: Year 1 complete(possible spoilers)..?'s feel free to ask
ok...can't view standings anymore since I've moved on to the offseason nor can I view the league leaders. I'll post what I remember:
AL East: Red Sox
AL Central: Twins (best record)
AL West: Mariners
Wildcard: Rays
NL East: Phillies (best record)
NL Central: Brewers
NL West: Dodgers
Wildcard: Rockies
ALDS:
Red Sox def Mariners - 3-0
Twins def Rays - 3-1
NLDS:
Phillies def Rockies - 3-1
Dodgers def Brewers - 3-0
ALCS:
Twins def Red Sox - 4-2
NLCS:
Dodgers def Phillies - 4-3
World Series:
Twins def Dodgers - 4-2 (3 of 6 games went 11 innings or more)
I honestly don't remember a whole lot about league leaders except:
* A-Rod, Prince, and Howard hit over 50 homeruns
* Halladay, Sabathia, and someone else won 20 games
* Broxton had 50 saves.
* Highest batting avg in majors was Gerardo Parra(ARZ) with .322
* Howard has 151 RBI's
* Bourn led majors with 66 SB
Thats all that I can distinctly remember.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: Year 1 complete(possible spoilers)..?'s feel free to ask
just signed my first big time FA:
Jose Reyes is now a St.Louis Cardinal!!!!
It was a battle between myself, the Giants and the Mets. Lot of jostling in terms of contracts, but at the end of the day, he is now with us!!! Big time fill for a position that we sorely needed to address.
And its a good thing to because the Astros landed Derek Jeter from the Yanks.
Now to get Pujols to resign and land one 2nd tier pitcher and we are set to go after the Central Division crown and the NL pennant.
Still waiting for abritration date to come and go so that more guys will be available, but I didn't wait for Reyes. Neither did the ChiSox when they landed Jimmy Rollins, 1 day after the FA signing period started.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

How much did Reyes signed for? I have 7 games to finish my Rays season and I'm looking for some speed since I'll be losing Crawford.Comment

Mets are apparently pissed I took Reyes, as they are now after Pujols. This is going to get ugly...lolI can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
