for season 1 this year...yes I played every game.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Do players in the FA list retire if they are unsigned?

Or if they are signed will they possibly stick around longer?

yes...some players in the FA list will retire. And yes some will stick around if they are signed. Examples in my franchise to name a few:

          Pedro Martinez
          John Smoltz
          Jermaine Dye

Hey I was wondering how did you handle your bench the 1st year. I have one going with the Phillies right now and I want to keep my bench players ready but I don't really feel the need to bench one of my starters for a day outside of Ruiz occasionally.

Where do you see points on there? All I've got is the bars but I haven't made it thru a season, so does it tell you the exact points of progression at the end or something? Or is there a way to change it from showing the bar to an actual number?

yeah during the offseason when you look at player progression it gives you a numerical change, for each of the players attributes, as well as overall.

I pretty much only play the bench when someone is in need of a rest. Later in the season, I'll rarely let Yadier catch a day game after a night game. Occassionally, I'll set someone down for poor performance and let a bench player play.

Also during the off season, you can see a potential bar, but only for your players that are in contract negotiations or the free agents a few weeks in. This is the only time you can ever see it, to my knowledge anyway. So if you sign a player to a long term contract, you may never see it again. What is cool is you can see some B potential players are right up there with lower A potential players. Some B players are lower to C levels. In fact, there are D players that have roughly 3/4 of the bar filled. I am assuming it is this bar that progresses a point or two, which could change the player's letter grade potential if it is on one of the border areas.
