I do appologize if this has been asked, but will RTTS and franchises need to be restarted for changes to take effect?

I just finished a franchise game. So, no you don't have to restart.

Looks like it.

I just simmed through the same process (Opening Day, 2014) with the OS Full Minors roster (aka Knight's) and I'm pretty sure I'm seeing the pre-patch issue of a whole bunch of really good players on the FA list. Or at least the ratings say they're good - Chris Coghlan is the #1 and he's almost a full red overall bar. Matt LaPorta and Nolan Reimold are right behind him, and it's a bunch of pitchers and catchers after that. All have very high overalls, and NOTHING like what I saw in the live roster.

Just to be clear - it's not superstars on this list as we know them today - it's a bunch of players who have progressed into that role.

Pretty interesting results overall - I've tried 3 different rosters and gotten three very different results each time. I'd say there's definitely something to the theory that the new live roster potentials are playing into this.

And....I'm starting to understand why the SCEA guys say that messing with potentials has to be done carefully so as not to "break" the game.

What doesn't make sense to me is everytime I DOWNLOAD the live rosters potential seems almost random. Sometimes Mauer has a B pot others a C as well as others. I am going to test this further and if it is the roster I may just edit the latest roster with top 100 prospects.

Starting the 2013 season in Franchise mode using MKnight's first version of the rosters... I am not using the 30 team control because all of the trades sometimes makes it interesting even though some of them are a bit ridiculous haha. Anyway, to the point.. I noticed some threads and posts about really good FA's being available, and it just happened to me when I began Spring Training.. FA list is littered with superstars such as: Greinke, McCutchen, Halladay, Beckham, LaPorta, Heath Bell, Torii Hunter, Milledge, Grady Sizemore, Geovany Soto, Kurt Suzuki, and more...

I can deal with minor glitches (like the outfielders not being able to quickly get a ball off the wall n throw it to a cutoff man) but I'll have to restart with 30-team control just so I can control the FA list even though that'll make the offseason long and I'll have to try and not be biased when signing players haha.

Yeah, I am hoping it evens itself out a couple of years down the line, say like 2018 where the prospects created by the new patch come into play.

I am thinking the same thing about the rosters now. That would really stink if we can't use Knights rosters in franchise for those of us that get deep into years of franchise play.

No, its a new bug that was introduced during the patch 3 process. The previous reported bug on this issue did not happen 100% of the time. There needed to be a perfect storm to recreate it, sadly we were never able re-create it in house or it would have been fixed.

Something happened in patch 3 that made the bug occur 100% of the time if the runner crossed home plate before the out was recorded.

So if we wait to DL the patch til this is fixed, probably tomorrow, will DLing the fix tomorrow also include all the other things in Patch 3 or should we DL Patch 3 now and the fix for it when it comes out?

Hey guys, having a major issue here. I downloaded the latest patch, and all of a sudden I can't load a game from the pitching probables screen, and I can't save the latest roster updates from SportsConnect. It freezes my entire system every time.

It's not a problem with the system. I played FIFA for a while tonight before putting in The Show.

Anyone have any clue what's going on?

Its most likely an overload of sportsconnect, lots of people on at the same time

The game froze while trying to load mine and my buddy's 2-man franchise mode. Weird. Hopefully it was just a temporary thing. Losing that franchise and having to start another would suck.

Then again, I couldn't do anything on The Show tonight ... so I really hope this was a temporary problem.
