Starting today The Show has froze on me each time (2) when pressing Start to enter the main menu... Is this a bug the patch can fix or did something happen to my game? It's the only game that has been in my PS3 for months now and haven't had any problems with it freezing before...

Look at it this way. We didn't expect to get patch #3, though it was needed.

So this will be the last patch anyway. If they can get the issue ironed out and not have any other side effects...then we will have more fixes then a week ago to things we just expected to deal with.

Yes it sucks to wait and not be able to play, but worth the time to have it all working for the most part.

I would rather have less new features added to MLB11 though. The game could be perfect this year. Fix all the bugs and then add on slightly.

It does get worse every year with the bugs. I still pre-order/buy it though because IMO its the best sports title out there. However I may hold off finally next year fearing this will just happen again, with more problems then the year past.

That's sort of like being adrift in a lifeboat in the middle of the ocean but having a pretty sunset.

The problem of very few top tier position player prospects renders franchise mode worthless and the manage mode problems were not addressed.

Thanks for noticing the 3rd out bug so quickly. I played a three game set and it affected the play of the game on 5 separate occasions. Thought I was seeing things!

Just one other thing I noticed since the download is that homerun balls and foul balls into the crowd just seem to "hit and stick" where the physics have the ball land. No bouncing or anything, just sticks to the spot like goofy glue!

this new bug just cost me a game. Up 3-2 in the 9th, runners on second and third with 2 outs, high chopper back to the pitcher I got it and threw out the runner at first however it went to the 10th tied 3-3

I think he might be referring to franchise/season auto-saves being broken if there's a pop-up notification right after you exit the game you just played. Your players (including pitchers, which is what makes this really bad) will have the fatigue from the game you just played, and the stats, but the game will not show as having been played.

The way around this, and it's something I got into the habit of doing with 09 (it's not a new bug), is to advance to the next day after you get done playing a game, then manually save. Everything is peachy if you do that.

I do it after every game, not just the ones that are followed by a notification box. Just safer that way.

just won a game 3-2 in AAA (only playing minor league games till the patch is fixed). The 2 runs game on runs scored on the 3rd out. What a joke.

i have not turn my ps3 in a while...so is downloading the new patch a bad idea?

u can still play the game without DL patch #3. When the game prompts you to DL it just hit cancel. You wont be able to play online or get roster updates, but for people like me who are just playing the game offline and are deep into franchise, you dont to DL the patch

u can still play the game without DL patch #3. When the game prompts you to DL it just hit cancel. You wont be able to play online or get roster updates, but for people like me who are just playing the game offline and are deep into franchise, you dont to DL the patch

You are having freezing problems because you did not download the patch. The automatic connection to the internet upon game startup is causing the freezing problem (same thing happened in 2009).

You can turn off the feature on the system setup and play the game while the rest of us have to wait for the next patch.

could u explain this a bit more? i load up my chise, load my setting, then load my sliders each time i push X or O to back out to the franchises main menu. You said when u press start....are u saying after the opening cut scene and you get to the Mauer screen shot where it says to push Start?

Maybe this is why i dont have the freeze issue....i dont auto log into PSN. I dont need to be on PSN to play the game, so i only log in to PSN when i need somthing
