Re: MLB '10 The Show Game Update #3 Details (5-18-10)
I'm beginning to feel bad for the devs, too. It's really cool that they're still patching this game at this point, and although I'm frustrated with the 3rd base glitch and the fact that it doesn't appear to have fixed the 2013 offseason free agency glitch, I appreciate all the effort that goes into this.
Here's the top free agents when I simmed to the start of the 2013 season:
Now the oddest thing I can see is that it's all pitchers - no position players anywhere in the top of the list. But wasn't the pre-patch bug that teams didn't have the budget room to sign star players? If that was the case, then this problem may be fixed.
BTW, I used the original rosters that came with the game for this sim - YMMV if you use Knight's or one of the official updates. Oh, and I have the file saved if anyone want's to check something on it.Last edited by bcruise; 05-18-2010, 02:15 PM.Comment

This right here is good stuff. Especially since I deleted my RTTS and was looking for a fresh start with the fixed potential ratings and Jason Heyward (started my RTTS way before the opening day rosters.) But after reading about that bug, I kind of felt like I was kicked where the sun don't shine by Gina Carano, lol.Comment

Nobody bothered to explain this one to me while I was asking earlier...

Re: MLB '10 The Show Game Update #3 Details (5-18-10)
cactusruss, I think since the patch is thru Sony for a Sony game, it doesn't have to go thru the approval process, or all they have to do is pull patch 3 from the servers and re-release it. I am sure glad for me that my run counted in spring training and not my regular season.
Russ, thanks for your team's quick response to this issue!Comment

Re: MLB '10 The Show Game Update #3 Details (5-18-10)
I had basically the same F/A pool in 2013 in my dynasty the last time I simmed ahead. I went midway into 2014 without hitting the snags that people have described.
This was pre-patch 3.RTTS: CL Antonio Ramos, drafted 1-4 by the Miami MarlinsComment

I just simmed a franchise to May 2014 with the new patch and the league's best players are all on free agency.Comment

Now if only Knight would get it together and release v2 rosters I can start a franchise:wink:
NHL: Buffalo Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks
OHL: London Knights
MLB: Miami Marlins, Toronto Blue Jays
Frontier League baseball: London RippersComment
