No, the 25 man thing? It's not the patch. Happened pre patch. I believe what has happened is the AI does not have a clue what to do when you take 15 men OFF the 40 man roster (to insure lineups at the start of the season) OF EACH TEAM, as the game was not programmed to deal with this. So when spring training ends it gets screwed up royally with almost all those cut players winding up on the FA list (it becomes massive after spring training).

It's something that we actually caused when we figured out a workaround. It will only do this in SEASON mode, not franchise mode.

How come I had to download this update again? I just did a few days ago, and its not like its a small download either.

There were 2 updates last week because there was a significant bug in the first one. SCEA re-patched it and release another update later in the week.

My bro plays this game a lot and said that he notices it's harder than it was before. Is it just him or is anyone else experiencing that as well?

Since the update I went into a 7-game losing streak -_-.... getting shutout twice! it seems harder to hit or maybe it's just me who knows

I went on a 17 game win streak..didnt lose in the month of august until the second last week...then my RTTS player went into a mini slump and lost 4 in a row...Im finding that things run smoother..not nessecarily frame rate but plays that are suppose to be made are, errors are still beinmg made but it just seems like the game reacts better and not so many errors or misses due to wonky animations..

I just started a new Franchise and noticed that League Leaders will scroll along the top of the screen from the beginning of the season on. Pre-patch, I didn't see League Leaders at the top until much, much later in the season.

I've lost the only 4 games I've played since the patch and the computer is teeing off on my pitching staff, and I'm striking out more and getting fewer hits than normal.

I feel compelled to post a formal apology to Russell and the SCEA team...

I was one of a few who, whenever somebody would ask if a third patch was coming, would say "not likely".

I had my doubts, then BAM!---third patch released, not only that, but quickly re-released to fix the third out scoring as a run from third.

This is the true definiton of customer service. Other gaming companies should take note.

I have an older ps3 and I just simmed to the off season and got no freezes when I went to manage roster screen, using latest roster download from scea.

I spoke, or typed, too soon. The game just froze for me exiting manage roster screen. Fortunately it doesn't happen every time so I was able to reboot the game and proceed.

I haven't downloaded that patch yet, but it is looking like there is a freezing issue, no? I guess my question would be what value does the patch have other than the dropped ball four error call? To be more specific, if playing a franchise with the OS rosters and not willing to restart things, and able to deal with the drop ball four error, is there any other reason to download the patch?
