Re: How to be RTTS MLB MVP in 3 years.
RTTS does need some reworking for 2011. Right now i'm tearing the cover off the Ball, batting clean-up for the Cubbies 60 games in .485 29 HRs 82 RBIs with 55 Contact. I got benched for 5 games because I didn't add points into Drag Bunt with my 44 speed lol... Note SCEA, clean-up hitters, 44 speed and Triple Crown guys don't drag bunt.Mets in 2011, why not!!Comment

Re: How to be RTTS MLB MVP in 3 years.
yeah im still in AA because my coach doesnt seem to like my 50% steal percentage, but it isnt entirely accurate because now it is well over 70 the last month or so. He keeps benching me but I guess Ill just give in so I can make it to the bigs. I play for the orioles btw and they traded tejada after i improved my guy. but they still havent moved me up. Im the 4th best player in the entire organization lolComment

Re: How to be RTTS MLB MVP in 3 years.
Ha.. square is power swing. you can't check your swing when you use square.Comment

Re: How to be RTTS MLB MVP in 3 years.
As someone said, the power swing is square. And, the power swing nets much better results than the contact swing which is X.Comment

Re: How to be RTTS MLB MVP in 3 years.
I just started a RTTS career, so my power is below 50. I hit a few HRs and doubles in the first month of playing, I haven't used a power swing yet.
I use the left thumbstick when I hit. I try to put the sweet spot of my bat on the ball every swing. Maybe that has something to do with my results. I don't mean to sound like a douche, but I hit the ball well most times.Last edited by MLB01; 05-28-2010, 12:30 PM.Comment

I use contact swings mostly and do pretty damn well, so does swingin' with power actually net much better results ?

Re: How to be RTTS MLB MVP in 3 years.
What difficulty do you guys use? Right now im doing all-star and im hitting around .250 in my first month with my 2B. I'm trying to make it somewhat harder then when i made my 3B and quit cause it was too easy, so using all-star right away instead of like veteranSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: How to be RTTS MLB MVP in 3 years.
problem with the OP method are injuries. you get injured early in your career and you will drop down or at minimum keep you from advancing. the coaches ai is a little weird after you come back from an injury as it becomes difficult to get back your starting job. as a result you end up being promoted and demoted off and on till you can stay healthy enough to be consistant.
i used a similiar strategy in last years game by pumping up power early on and i was consistantly injured. this year i pumped up my durability to 70 before i really started to focused in my other stats. my batting power and contact built up from practice sessions as well as from goals from my coach. from this point if focused more on my other stats after i had a few hundred saved up.
the result was that i was rarely injured and got alot of playing time and able to really build my player very fast. i was in the majors in year 3 as well, so its not like i fell behind or anything. i started batting in the bottom half of the order then at the #2 spot till my power developed. it really is paying off, 4 straight allstar games, 3 straight homerun derby invites, 4 straight gold gloves. two seasons ago i was NL MVP, NL playoff MVP, as well as multiple awards. was a great season for me, batted .365, 40 HR, 165 RBI, 45 stolen bases. we (rockies) lost to the rays in the world series, in fact we have lost the past 3 world series ;(Comment

Re: How to be RTTS MLB MVP in 3 years.
i play every game, if i do well i save the game if i stink it up restart and sim till i get a good game worth a save i do this and put all my points to the goals and durability. i made it to the majors in june at age 18 was rookie of the year and also qwned the hit streak. the next year i secured a spot in the starting line up continued the process until i owned the homerun record, and rbi record. by this time at age 19 i was an allstar, mvp, triple crown winner and i was an b overall player. i'm in year 3 now starting line up and #4 hitter and i'm working towards the big pay day to get out of kansas city. i know i'm kinda cheating but i like road to the show just not a fan of stayin the minors too long. main goal is to break all records from a position player.Comment
