as an Angels and Padres fan, i love the combo of Hud and Matty V.
Jon Miller though, that guy is the best next to Vin.

I think its a cool idea, but will it happen? Probably not. Either way I'm content with the announcers we got now.
I agree, get all the radio and TV announcing teams for all of baseball.

I would say Vin Scully if he's willing, and maybe either a Michael Kay or a Gary Cohen. All of them are play-by-play guys though, so they'd have to find a good analyst. I say go with Vasgersian or Sully, Cohen, and Al Leiter lol. As corny as he is sometimes, I've always loved Al Leiter in the booth back to when he was calling postseason games while still an active player, and onto his career at YES. He gives great analysis, and it's hilarious to see his ADD kick in and see him talk extremely fast and get and fumble his words. I love the enthusiasm haha.

That's just my wishlist though, I have a feeling we'll be stuck with the same crew for quite a while.
I would love Gary Cohen as an announcer for MLB the Show.

Since the discovery of the Hudler and Soup mute code, I am enjoying the Matt V solo. I say stick with that.

It doesn't make any sense for SCEA to bring in a new commentary team. Too much of an investment for little if any financial return. That said, they can improve the commentary by doing a couple things...

                      1) Drop one of the color guys (preferrably Campbell). Two guys with 25 lines sounds more repetitive than one guy with 50 lines IMO.

                      2) Have Matt and Rex interact much more. Right now it sounds like all 3 guys are in different rooms let alone actually interacting with each other.

                      3) And of course, record more lines

I have no problem with MAtt Vasgersian....his commentary is deep, and you can tell he enjoys doing it, and it flows smoothly. You can't just throw anyone in there and get the ssame result.

One man both is great for me. They wouldn't have to worry with interacting. The one guys could sort of just ramble about things he sees on the field. No need for tricky programming trying to coordinated the spoken work of one with another. It would work for me.

I just find the mixing of the audio very poor. They all sound like they are in a studio with a separate soundtrack for the crowd in the background. I am sure that's the way it is done for most games but I've seen/heard many other sports game (yes, I also mean that other baseball game I dislike so much) doing a much better job at that.
As for the commentators, yes, they've started to sound a little repetitive after 4 straight years playing the game non-stop but I have to say that they really helped me become a much more conscious player; I am now much more aware of the situations in the game and play with a baseball mentality thanks to Hudler's silly (and, after 4 years, annoying) comments.
I would love to get a different 3-man booth this year but don't see it happening. I am sure they prefer keeping the depth they already have with their team and improving upon that, rather than starting off from scratch. In that case, what they could do is to make the commentators sound like they are in the game as opposed to in a studio.

Commentary is the one thing MLB 2K10 has over The Show. Gary Thorne is great too. Gary Thorne and Joe Morgan.
