    Dear Roster Makers

Under what circumstances is it OK for you to change contracts and upload them to the roster vault?

I DL'd what seemed like a great roster file, used it, and then realized I downloaded a sketchy file.

Example: Takahashi Saito, according to Cots is being paid 1 year/$3.2M (2010).
In my Roster file, he's being paid just under 1 million....FOR EIGHT YEARS!

Pretty much everyone on here uses the same roster file, that being Knights...so I doubt anybody here is responsible for it.

Contracts are not accurate in the game. They do not have the same exact figure as real life. Usually the years are pretty accurate though.

Right, which is sounds like something I'd say, but I have time invested and this was someone who took KNIGHTS and did an update themselves after Knighty night.

isn't Knight's original work out there under his name?

This. The roster maker didn't mess that up, it was already like that.

What are you complaining about? I have Chris Carter under control for 6 or 7 years at 30K a year. He may not be happy about it, but nothing I can do. I promised him that he will have to get a big payday if I ever get far enough for his contract to expire haha.

You guys know that if you take a roster......and don't like someones contract in that base roster...you can drop him the FA list and then put him back on the team...and he will have a new contract(NOT in franchise).

This is the exact method I used for my franchise. I used your roster set but went through every team to get all the years right for every player (obviously not the $$$). For about 1 hour a day for 2 straight weeks, I have all the players as to where i would want them. And it does seem to eliminate wacked out trades. Biggest name I had seen traded during year 1 was Jeff Suppan and he went to a condender. Thanks knight.

You're welcome .....and that sounds great.
I wanted to do that....but I was kinda beat up.
Maybe you could post that for guys?...
...and yes...the trades certainly do seem "better" with the contracts redone.

While that Carpenter contract issue worked out for you, I got Saito for 9 mil, spread out of several, several years.

Any chance of posting that rosters? That will take things to another level.
