Re: How this game has changed my life

I'm new to the Forum, so if this ends up in the wrong place, I apologize.

But I've never seen a game, especially a sports game, that so many grown men have developed almost a psychological dependence on. We LOVE this game! We are IN Love with this game.
This game has become essentially our own "Field of Dreams", allowing us to once again relive those days of collecting Baseball Card..., Sandlot Ball until the street light comes on.. putting Carl Yastremski cards in the spokes of our banana seat three speed with the stick-shift on the bar.... Arguing over who was better, Johnny Bench or Carlton Fisk...
I can't explain it, but it's something special.

I love this story because I feel the same way. I've been playing the Show since its PS3 days and I'm in love with the sport again. I have mlb.tv to watch the Red Sox and this game along with OOTP keep me busy

Great work by SCEA as usual and MLB 10 delivers again

Man I remember my first time playing The Show. It was on a Gamestop PS3 demo stand. It was the 08 demo, Red Sox versus Rockies. Everything about it blew me away when it started. The photo realistic graphics, the was Josh Beckett took off his cap to wipe the sweat off his head. The smooth animations in the field. The way that pitchers actually threw balls. I used to go to Gamestop once a week just to get another glimpse of it. When I finally got my hands on a PS3 and MLB 09, I didn't get any sleep for a week. It was magical. I kinda wish I could wipe my memory just to expirience it again.

Re: How this game has changed my life

I've been playing video games for 25+ years but the show, starting in 2008, is the only one I've played that had this addicting way about it. I love baseball so I'm sure that has a lot to do with the reason I feel that way.

It's sad that I'm saying this at 34 years old but while I'm at work I catch myself thinking about the game. Last week I was walking to my office thinking to myself that if Vlad can go 4 for 4 tonight I would get his average up over .300. I mean seriuosly, what's wrong with me

Scea has just done a fabulous job with this game. There are some things that need to be fixed but to me they are minor issues....overall the game is the best sports game I've played.

I'm at the point now that with Knight's V4 rosters being released and the Classic Rosters coming close to dropping that I really have no interest in buying another game until the holidays. This game has me completely hooked.
