I've been blown out a couple of times. There were 2 occasions where I was down by 10-12 runs after 6 innings. It sucked and I couldn't get anyone out for the life of me, so I simmed to the end of those games for the well-being of my controller, lol.

Sometimes I get so mad I just mash buttons waiting for the next pitch when I'm on the field and I make fielders dive. Not a smart idea with injury frequency full. Francisco Cervelli dove because of me, had to leave because of injury, found out he had Shoulder Inflammation and had to go on the DL. How he got that from diving, IDK.

Blowouts aren't always a bad thing. Well I guess they are for your pitcher(s), but you can really go two routes here. Because the game is programmed to have those swing moments, this is a good chance to pad some of your batters' stats. You may not come back all the way, but you could knock in a few cheap runs. Also, when the CPU is up big, they tend to not hold the runner at first, so you can get a bigger lead and get a couple of steals. The other route is to let your scrubs get some playing time, thus resting your starters in order to exact revenge the next game.

Probably not. So take your beating and bring it the next day.

i tend to fast forward the pitching, just do the hitting innings. i take the good w/ the bad in real life, i dont have time to take the bad in a 'game' that i'm using to kick back and relax from the real world. in a bad game that's it, i save myself 30min at night from having to chug through a losing game... maybe if i were a 12yr old it'd be different. after a disgusting blowout i dont even play the game for sometimes a whole week.

That's being a fair-weather sports game fan.

But considering some just use these games to live out their dreams, it makes sense to not waste your time when you're getting blown out by the CPU.

Life sucks then you have to take a beating on top of it? Yeah, by all means fast forward that baby!

I jus try to tough it out, even though it is verrrrrrry hard lol! Jus try to put in my subs and let it play out....then come out the next game and unleash he!!..
