I think what he's saying, and I agree, is that the crowd doesn't react to what is happening during the play. In other words, a key base hit late in the game for the home team should get a roar out of the crowd when the ball actually lands for a hit, but instead the crowd is very monatone during the actual play.

Of course there are several scenerios where the crowd would react differently depending on whats happening on the field, but I was just providing an example.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Good point, man - Yea, that would be cool if they had it the other way as well - meaning they had the crowd stand up when it's not a HR too.

The volume of the crowd on a scale will say during a pivitol moment in a game (especially in mlb 10) is at about 5/10 while at the plate.
The bases are juiced and youre behind 5-3, you hit a hard liner towards the gap at this point you know theres a good chance its going to drop wheres the crowd volume? still at 5, the ball drops! volume still at 5, the ball is about to hit the wall - still at 5, and finally when a run crosses the crowd goes to about 9.
My gripe is the timing of crowd excitement is way off, always has been for the most part especially on the offensive side of the home team. This is one of those moments where it really feels like youre just playing a video game and are getting a little disapointed as opposed to sucked in.

Im not sure what happened with the 9th innings in mlb 10 either, the last few years you would hear the crowd get progressively louder when the last few outs are being made, you would hear faint clapping sequences and noise would pick up more after every out now not even in a playoff game...

Hope youre on the ball SCEA, I try not to complain but give insight on making this game the best it can be...

I completely agree with everything u mentioned here. I think a great example of how the crowd should sound is MVP 2005. Great crowd reaction right as the ball lands, as the crowd knows its going to be a hit, where in the SHOW, it seems that crowd noise is programed to trigger when a run crosses the plate, or as soon as the runner reaches the base.

I agree with you. Based on the crowd noise, there are times where I can predict an error or a base hit or a spectacular catch. Not that big a deal but the more I play this game the more I can predict will happen based on the crowds reaction prior to it actually happening...make sense?????

I agree with you. It's not frequent enough for it to bother me, but I hate when that happens.

I agree! A couple games ago, It was the 8th inning and I was down by a run. I was home, so it was a nice atmosphere. I hit a ball right to the gap, both runs scored. In real life, the second that ball comes off the bat you know its hitting the gap and you are screaming your head off before it reaches the outfield. But in this game, like you said, the crowd gets loud really late, sometimes after the play. It's a simple thing, but it would add so much more the whole atmosphere.
