Re: MLB 11 The Show: Countdown To Release Thread

Eckersley's 24 seasons were broken down by 13 years as a starter and 11 as a reliever. He made six All-Star appearances and won the American League MVP and Cy Young awards in 1992. On Sept. 26, 1998, Eckersely set a major league record by appearing in his 1,071st game, breaking Hoyt Wilhelm's mark. It was his final game.

And that batting stance in that pic is not right.

Thank you for this most exhaustive list of 42's Knight. For your information, Jackie Robinson wore # 10 with the Royals. He also played 1B. There is a statue of him in our city. He is still considered as one of our most revered sports heroes of all time. Old Branch Rickey sure picked the right city when he chose Montréal for Jackie's pro debut. In fact, when the Expos debuted in 1969, he was considered for the managerial job. But his health was rapidly declining and he had to turn it down. He passed away in 1972. He was totally blind because of diabetes.

I couldn't find a good pic of him with the Royals....let alone showing his number.
Here is his game worn jersey from '45.
