End of year Coaching Changes-- Trying to keep as real as possible

I have kept my franchise as realistic as possible, and was wondering who others that were controlling 30-teams were replacing teams with new managers that were not int he game with? A few (such as Farrell and Hurdle) were assistants and are in the game. Teams that do not have their new managers in the game include

    Orioles (Buck Showalter)
Brewers (Ron R. --- the show does not include bench coaches)
    Mariners (Wedge)
    Mets (Terry Collins)
Dodgers (Mattingly-- although "Jaque Fahey" could be made in his likeness skills wise)
    Dbacks (Gibson)
    Marlins (Rodriguez)
    Royals (Yost)
Any feedback on who you replaced them with is welcome

They hired Fredi Gonzalez, you can get him off the Marlins after the season

I did the same thing as you as far as keeping managers true to life. this is what I did for those managers not in the game. I basically replaced them with someone similar in some sort of aspect, whether it be overall managerial experience, former organization, or just overall similarity in some way. A few of them I just had to pick someone, so they may not be super realistic:

        Orioles (Larry Bowa)
Brewers (Brad Fischer - came from in their own organization, but oh well)
        Mariners (Dave Trembley)
Mets (Terry Crowley - simliar name and same age, that's the only reason haha)
Dodgers (I just kept Torre for one more year since he didn't retire in my franchise)
Dbacks (Mariano Duncan - from the Dodgers organization, only reason really)
Marlins (Allan Fernandez - just a fake coach)
Royals (Ken Macha - only due to his former position in the Brewers organization like Yost)

I hope that helps a little bit.

Thanks man! Anyone else amke similar changes. I was thinking about John Russel for the O's since he is now their 3b coach and Trey Hillman for the Dodgers (Bench coach in real life) but still think Jaque Fahey might be a "fake" of Mattingly

I wonder what the deal is with Managers. Does a guy have to manage a game before they can add him just like a new player?

I asked this in another thread and I think Knight said he'd ask about it. I wondered this as well because for years the Astros had the real manager and the real 3rd base coach, but Jose Cruz the first base coach at the time wasn't in the game.

With some guys...they must have deals with them individually.
Could be they just couldn't get him for whatever reason.

Cruz was in '09, but not '10. I think he retired, because he wasn't the 1st base coach last year.
