Something that I hadn't noticed till now. Love the option of having "timing" as a hitting option this year on the higher difficulties. With this option, I will now be able to hit from the pitching view. The more options the better.

I love the IDEA of hitting from the pitching view, but am still afraid my walks will really suffer.
Of course, customizable hitting cameras could help here too.Comment

I forgot to ask this before (that or I asked it and forgot that I asked it. It sucks getting old), but did they tweak the gold glove awards at all? What I mean is that are guys who play very little still winning the award because they have perfect fielding percentage? The rest of the awards seemed pretty good, save silver slugger, and only because there should be one per position for that award.Comment

Re: I hope they fixed these things:
You know a glitch that has always bothered me.. I can't win a GG with my RTTS pitcher unless I'm on the Braves or the Orioles. I hope that gets addressed soon. Either way gonna be a great game as alwaysComment

Every time I tried to check on the Silver Slugger award for someone who asked in the "two weeks" thread....it crashed our build.
Sorry.
Speaking of....I did go through all the questions in that thread and brought them to the event.
If you didn't see an answer to your specific question on the boards here yet...fire away..I have my notes.
I was going to just go through the thread...but a lot was already covered.
Let me know.

Did the glitch where the pitcher will unexpectedly speed up their delivery then on the next pitch do this weird slide step thing that really causes trying to steal a base nonexistent.est 1978

Re: MLB 11 The Show Community Day Discussion Thread - Questions, Answers etc.
I have a question about the new hitting (timing-only vs. true zone). From what I've read the consensus is that true zone on lower difficulty settings will replicate what we currently have now on HOF and Legend.
My question is: Don't the difficulty levels also affect things like CPU pitching AI and CPU fielding reaction times? I get fewer good pitches to hit on Legend and the AI fielders can make more diving plays than on All Star or HOF.Comment

That is indeed a very cool feature! There have actually been times I wish I could've controlled a situation from demo mode.

Re: MLB 11 The Show Community Day Discussion Thread - Questions, Answers etc.
Question for SCEA or Community Day guys: For the batter walk ups, is there a particular reason why the stat shown is stolen bases rather than on base percentage? IMO, on base percentage is a way more important stat than the number of stolen bases. Also, I believe every real MLB broadcast shows the OBP during walkups. The jumbotrons in the game also prominently display the slugging percentage rather than the OBP. This has been driving me crazy for the last few years so hope someone can explain reasoning.Comment
