Yes.
You can choose OFF(both leagues)-AUTO(default)-ON(both leagues.
(kind of fits in nicely with the "secret"

This has the smell of front page sports baseball pro series. this has the smell an feel of complete customizable leagues for franchise or season. if so i would love this due to the fact that i would do what needs to be done. put Texas in the AL Central, the D-Backs in the AL West, and finally and most importantly move the pittsburgh pirates in the NL East.

yes this would create tons of scheduling issues due to being balanced between the leagues. meaning that each league would have 15 teams.

i truly hope this is the case.. this will be freaking fantastic... crossing fingers!!

Some teams will have mid day starts(I've seen 12:45....3:05.....4:00)...and the shadows/lighting will be adjusted accordingly.
You cannot choose to start games at different times though...you have to go with what's on the schedule.

ok did you or anyone else ask or find out if any of the game times are taken from teams actual schedules. so that every game in the game mirrors the times of the actual games that are being played in real life?

You can create a sort of ad-hoc custom league for '11.
It's really an ONLINE league that you create...and just assign the CPU to all the other teams but they one you want to play as. You can switch it up to user(s) along the way as many times back and forth...whatever...as you like if you wish.
You can put any team....into any league or division.
You can choose from 4(?) up to 30 teams in two team increments.
I forgot to look if you can set up the DH ...on(both)/off(none)/auto(AL) in the online league.
Right now...I'm not sure how the schedule will work(they were still tinkering with it)...but you can choose to play almost any number of 3 games series totaling up to a max of 162. When we saw it...it was a complete block of games...no "off" days. They will add rest days...they were just unsure of whether it would be as actual off days on the schedule...or an automatic "under the hood" rest period after a number of days on the schedule(a hidden day off....players not played will be resting the day you do not play them also)

On the times....I remember them saying it was per MLB sched...but I saw no afternoon games on Sat/Sun for the Mets...and they usually do have them, so I'm not sure.

Knight and co. (gotta refer to the Mets fan first), did any of you get the chance to ask the developers about the inclusion of a Playoff Mode for The Show?

I know we aren't going to get it this year, but perhaps it's something they will consider for next year?

I think it'd be a great inclusion, as I know a lot of folks never get to see the postseason presentation elements unless they do 30-team control and sim through the regular season. Plus, it'd be fun to just create different playoff scenarios and also throw the Classic teams into the mix.

I'm really surprised this feature isn't in the game yet, as most other games seem to have it.

Again, no programming knowledge here, but with all the in-depth, technical and complicated things the Show already does, it seems surprising to me that this mode would be at all troubling to add.

However, if it was easy, you would presume it would already be in the game, so perhaps there is something I'm overlooking.

You'll be in the playoffs!

I would love to see world series presentation and so forth in the road to the show. I remember last year we won the world series in game 7 and at the end of the game, it stated: finishin to the end of game or whatever and the game was over. No team celebration or anything

I had a list of suggestions for additions. Playoff mode was one.
As to why no implementation. Probably just dev time(lack of it).

I'm trying to figure what they actually added to the game this year. They evidently didn't fix manage mode. They added some animations, fixed some batting stances, is that about it? Better eye candy?
