Re: MLB '11: The Show Community Day Gameplay Q&A
Knight...
My question(s) are really easy and I know you would know.
1. Do the lineups in franchise stick, or am I gonna have to control ALL 30 teams again. Seems the AI reorganizes the lineups to what it feels like is best rather than working with what the user set and working around it.
2. How were the sim numbers at the end of a season. Was it right on par with what it should be?
3. Will minor league players get called up by the AI at a faster rate ifthey are pefomring well in the system?
4. It seems like in game, when batting, the graphics of the stadiums and players are much more "in your face" like 2K is and I really like that. In mlb past years the stadiums looked a little small and not alive when you played and that goes for the players. With all that has been added and changed, does it feel liek your standing on the homeplate and say....yankee stadium in all its glory is bigger than life and alive with all its evil fans throwing pizza at opposing fans and beer and batteries! If not controlling all 30...they will adjust as they see fit. By design.

I always liked the sim numbers in this game. Now that the Brian adjusted the code for MR.....even those are looking really good.

Same as last year. While they adjusted this for RTTS(mainly for your player, but I think it spills over to the entire league).....they didn't get it in to the franchise yet. They really want this to be right...so they didn't want to just "throw it in" to the other modes. I think we'll see this in '12 for sure.

Thats awesome cause really the only thing that got stale for me towards the end of my season besides controls were animations. We play today, we win today, das it!-

Re: MLB '11: The Show Community Day Gameplay Q&A
A neat trick Ramone taught me is if you approach a fly in an arc fashion finishing towards the general direction you want to get your throw off it will unleash a fierce throw animation that is so smooth and slick you will want to replay a few times.
There was one time in '10 I somehow got in the perfect runway position and triggered the most beautifully smooth and accurate throw animation to the plate on a tag up I have ever seen and I have never been able to duplicate it again
I would imagine if people can learn how to this "trick" regularly on fly balls there would be almost zero complaints about slow reacting off line throws :wink:Comment

Re: MLB '11: The Show Community Day Gameplay Q&A
Actually, I asked.
I got answers to most if not all the questions in the "two weeks" thread as well.
It's still there. Kolbe doesn't think they can get to it in time.
Sorry.
