Nemesis...My question got burred too
I understand that how fast you push the stick forward determines velocity on fastballs but what would be the correct way to throw the most effective off-speed and breaking pitches ??
Also does velocity work just the opposite for offspeed and breaking pitches ??
Like if I want to throw a nasty changeup would the faster I push the stick forward make the changeup slower and more effective or faster and less effective ??
Would the faster you push the stick forward throwing a curveball make it have more or less break ??Comment

Re: MLB '11: The Show Community Day Gameplay Q&A
Finally thought of something worth asking!
Pitch colours indicator?
Have they been made lighter? I know one of my (and many peoples) pet peeves in 10 was the darkness of the colour coded pitch history you are able to pull up between pitches.
Has the palette of those been altered at all?Comment

Re: MLB '11: The Show Community Day Gameplay Q&A
My apologies if this was already answered, but will there be more throwing animations for infielders? Take this as an example. (Sorry no film)
Spoiler
You may be familiar with this amazing play by Tadahito Iguchi. I'm not saying spectacular plays all the time, I'm saying sometimes, the animations get kinda boring.:I
Also, another one of my pet peeves about last years game was when a speedy player reached base. It would cut to the player starting his jump and showing his base stealing stats. One problem, no stats! Just zeros! Did you fix this glitch?Last edited by ThatDudeandThatGuy; 01-17-2011, 05:54 PM.

Re: MLB '11: The Show Community Day Gameplay Q&A
Quick question about road to the show. In MLB 10 there were entirely too many bunts. I saw players like Albert Pujols drag bunt with no one on base. Once A-Rod bunted with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the all star game. I am really hoping that this is fixed for MLB 11. Also it seemed that scores were a bit high, which may have been the result of the excessive number of drag bunts. Every season the team I was with was in the top 5 in runs scored but always gave up the most runs on defense. RTTS has been my favorite mode to play the past few seasons so I am really hoping these things are fixed this year.Comment

Re: MLB '11: The Show Community Day Gameplay Q&A
Nem....How does the game handle pitchers who walk more hitters than others? Does AJ Burnett have less leeway when missing the yellow line than say Cliff Lee? Meaning if both pitchers miss the line just by a fraction, will Lee's control be better than Burnett or will both pitchers miss by the same margin?PSN: bronk14Comment
