    Re: Opening Day (The Show)

    1) Put kids too bed by 700pm
    2) Kiss my wife goodbye because she wont see me til March 9th at 4pm when she gets home.
    3) Start Franchise and play ST games with the analog's. I plan on using the fielding just not to sold yet on the hitting and pitching.

Really looking forward to this year's game!!!

      Re: Opening Day (The Show)

First thing I always do is check out the Jays roster and see how they rated each player. This year I will probably check out the tutorials before I start playing to get a feel for the new analog control. Then I'll play a few exhibition games with the Jays. I'll then start a Chise and will likely play all the spring training games to get a feel for the new controls and decide which ones I will use. I will give analog a serious effort and am hoping that I will use analog for everything if it all works like its suppose to. By the time im done my ST games hopefully knights rosters will be out and I will restart a new Chise with his rosters and skip spring training and get right into the season. I usually will play all 162 games in my first season and then will sim after that.

Honestly, I kinda started it with my original comment. I suppose there was no good reason for me to say that I 'wouldn't waste my time messing with them since I wont use them' (or something to that effect).

Either way, I just enjoy button mashing. If I wanted to feel like I was swinging a bat, I would go outside and swing a bat.

              1. Put some music in the game!
              2. Play an exhibition against the Dodgers or Phillies with the World Champs at home.
              3. Start cranking out the Giant's minor league system for Knight's roster set.

Cubs vs Cards... will be hoping to see improvements, if any, made at Wrigley.

Sadly I will have started a new job so I won't get home until like way late 6pm west coast time.So I will just be doing play now games with Seattle.I may jump in and test out the servers real quick or RTTS.Then probably end of the week or weekend I will start my Mariners franchise and not wait on the rosters.I usually like to create my own player first. Can't wait though!!

                    1. Video Tutorials
                    2. A couple games of knockout
                    3. BP
                    4. Exhibition games (with a notebook handy. After 20 games I'll decide whether AS Pitching/Hitting is producing realistic results...tweak non-invasive sliders like errors and strike frequency if needed...and then prep for Spring Training).
                    5. Determine whether or not I want to go Auto or Assisted Fielding.
                    6. Decide whether or not to use Andy Pettitte...? Ugh...or (gulp) Freddy Garcia.

It wasn't towards you, it was towards the guy that said you need to try analog controls.

                        1. I wont be using analog hitting but might try the fielding and pitching.

                        2. look at the rosters and then go online to see if they have a updated one for that day.
                        3. I will use " the perfect slider set" from mlb 10 to start.

                        4. I always pick the teams with a .500 or losing record and place them in a tournament and the winner is the team i will be in my franchise.

                        5. Once I have a team, I will start my franchise.

6 Someone time down the road see if i want to do a rtts.

                        7. if i use knights rosters depends on how long it takes to make them.

play a few games, check out the rosters and then get to work on helping the community for knights rosters.

Ya know we probably don't talk about it much. Last year we played an entire season in the show, she was the yanks, I was the sox. It actually came down to alcs battle where I took here 4 games to 2. We just communicate on where were at in the season and who has the next game to play. We had settings on fast play and at times if we had things going on we would agree to both simulate that calendar day.

Overall though I think she's great at the game. We don't get online at all so I don't know where we measure up to the rest of the fans of the game. I will say this, she's competitive..lol We were going at it last night with guitar hero. Heck, way before I met her and even knew her she was big into games, sports games alike....3 older brothers.

Wow, u sound exactly like me a year or so ago. Im 33 and grew up with buttons and i only play the show, nhl and as of this year nba 2k. I hated the sticks and then I got this years NHL game and just never realized how much more could be done with the sticks. At first I was angry about it but then I said screw it, im gonna learn to use no matter how long it takes. Now that I did I couldn't imagine going back to button mashing and I actually find myself now turned off to games that don't use the sticks. Anyway, I don't care what u choose, it just my personal opinion that ur not getting the most out of the game if u don't give em a shot.

As always, the first thing I'll do is play a Cubs-Cardinals exhibition game, using as many of the new features as is possible.

..Well, the VERY first thing I'll do is add "Go Cubs Go" in to the Wrigley team win section on SOTS, like last year. Got a bunch of surprise youtube hits when I posted an endgame clip of my first win, and had that play for it.
