I am going to try a SP and corner infield. I am hoping pitching and fielding may be more fun with the analog controls. I found fielding to be extremely dull just pressing a button. I prefer RTTS to allow user input to have a larger impact on the outcome of a play, compared to franchise. In RTTS I want it to feel more like I am playing that position.

Shortstop, because its what I played all through high school. And I agree. I think new analog controls will at least make fielding in RTTS more realistic. Can't even count how many time my shortsop sailed the ball over the first baseman's head on routine plays.Last edited by Cannoncourt; 02-14-2011, 05:59 PM.Baseball = Crack. Re: What position will you be in RTTS?
I'm pretty interested in trying out either a middle infielder or center fielder as an all contact, no power lead off guy. At the plate I'm more or less looking to be Ichiro. The only thing I'm worried about is base stealing. I've never actually managed to steal a base in RTTS before, even as speedy guys, and I'd hate to be a really fast player who gets thrown out on the bases 9 times out of 10. I can't remember if The Show has a standalone practice mode for RTTS base stealing, but if it doesn't I'll probably just be a knuckleballer until I get bored of it after two weeks and start up a franchise.Comment

Re: What position will you be in RTTS?
In the past I've played as a SS and a bit of SP but hated it 'cause I like to bat too. So this year I probably will still go with the middle infield, and might try out CP (faster and not having to worry about going 7 innings, only pitching, no batting.. that's damn boring to me lol), meant to try it out last year but never gotten around to it.Comment

Re: What position will you be in RTTS?
So MLB The Show IS the most realistic sports video game...I'm never doing what I did this year again.
First baseman. ORIOLES. I spent 15 dollars on him So I Couldn't just quit, but god it sucked.
Everytime there was a throw to me, there'd be some sort of error. We came in last place every year. I never got traded.
This year, I'm either a third baseman or SS for the Braves, Rangers, or Giants.

Re: What position will you be in RTTS?
I'll probably start out as an OF... enough to get some fielding in, but not a ridiculous amount so the games go a little faster... Though, I'm interested in trying a 3B or SS, just to be different... I was a RF in MLB '09... tried some other positions, but never got far into those careers (3B was lame, 1B was too easy and too many attempts... and SS and 2B weren't all that exciting either.. but again, didn't experience the middle infield too much).Currently Playing: FIFA 22 Career Mode - Manchester United ManagerComment

Re: What position will you be in RTTS?
I usually play first, but I might switch over to third or even the outfield if everything works right in the game. I did catcher for all of two games last year before having to turn it off.
Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

Re: What position will you be in RTTS?
I wish when you played the outfield they had you keep your eyes on the ball and not a spot in the outfield. I think it would be much more enjoyable and more difficult to have to read the ball on your own instead of just running to a spot where you always know the ball is going to be. Now you can turn off the ball marker, but then again if you do that you cant see the ball anyways. The camera should be up in the air.Comment
