Re: To Demo or Not to Demo, that is the question...
Not positive, but I think he meant players in real life don't skip spring training, so he's not going to skip the demo.I normally play a few games of spring training to get used to the controls and then once I feel comfortable with the game, I sim spring training and start my franchise. I normally start playing as the Rockies and wait til Knight's rosters to drop (opening day) and start my Yankees franchise.Comment

Re: To Demo or Not to Demo, that is the question...
I doubt I'll download the demo, either... but like you, curiosity might win out.Is anyone else like me considering NOT downloading the Demo? Sure it would be great to get to grips with the new analog controls etc but for me i sort of like to hold off and build up even more tension and excitement for the real thing in only two weeks time.
Theres always a chance i might cave in lol and give it a whirl simply due to my level of intrigue regarding analog controls of course, who knows.
I ask, does anyone else have my Demo dilemma?
I just don't see the point for me. I know I'm going to love this game and building up the suspense factor will just make it better for me.Comment

Re: To Demo or Not to Demo, that is the question...
I feel the same way. Not planning on downloading the demo because I am still playing 10 and don't want to ruin it. I know1 will be the best todate so I don't need a demo to tell me how good it is, unlike some other sports titles or maybe I should say all other sports titles, lol. Is anyone else like me considering NOT downloading the Demo? Re: To Demo or Not to Demo, that is the question...
I dont't think I will download the demo. My target date to buy the game is March 11th. Come March 8th, I will check the different comments on this forum, as I'm sure there will be plenty. Hopefully, the pros will outnumber the cons. To those who can't resist downloading it, I dare to say : PLAY BALL !Comment

Re: To Demo or Not to Demo, that is the question...
I do not have self control. I once found my John Madden Football game Christmas present for the Sega Genesis hidden under the bed when the wife was out shopping. Without going into detail let's just say that didn't turn out well

Re: To Demo or Not to Demo, that is the question...
Wow I had no idea there were so many people who felt this way! I cannot imagine NOT playing the demo! For me, I have to try it as soon as possible!
I will still be super excited when the real game comes out, because I will be able to play with any team and any player that I want! But playing the demo is going to be an awesome way to tide myself over on my way there! Plus, as others have said, it will be nice to get used to the analog controls before playing real games when 11 hits.Comment

In most years, I wouldn't download the demo. However, I want to get a good feel for the new controls and see if I like them before purchasing the game.Edmonton Oilers Fan

Re: To Demo or Not to Demo, that is the question...
I'm torn...
In previous years I don't download the demo, because "I've waited long enough, what's another couple weeks for the FINALIZED version" ...
..but,
the other part of me wants to try and pick-up on the new analog controls. I'm OLD-SCHOOL and set on sticking with the "smashing-buttons" method, but part of me wants to try the analog and see if I like it - and one good way to practice would be with an EARLY BUILD - The Demo.
Hmm...what to do>??

Re: To Demo or Not to Demo, that is the question...
I personally will download and play it. I just bought my PS3 a few weeks ago soley to finally be able to play the show. Ive never played it so id like to get a grasp of it. Does the show update the rosters like 2k does? Like a living roster? Cause id like to wait on starting my franchise untill the season starts so i can have an accurate base roster to beginDrew Stubbs is fastComment

I usually play about 15 ST games so I can get a feel for all the deliveries of my pitchers and finding the right slider mix for meComment
