Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
That my friend is an accomplishment.
My guy isn't a HR hitter for the most part. His Contact/vision is 100, but his power is 58 with near maxed speed/BR ability. If the wind wasn't blowing out it would have been a couple 400 shots at best. He's modeled to be a leadoff guy, so it was an oddity for him to go dee, much less twice. So far, through ~180 at bats he has about 9 homers.Last edited by acts238shaun; 11-15-2011, 09:15 AM.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Flash had a BAD series vs Detroit. 2-12 with only a couple walks and I had more errors (3) and SO's (4) that hits. The only consolation was the final game of the series I had a HR.
Still learning the video stuff, I'll take any comments/criticisms.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
This is long, but meet Duke Davis...
Davis is currently 13-2 with a ~1.50 ERA with his only losses to the Pirates (on vid) and a 7 runs over 4ip disaster vs the Brewers.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Guys, quick question, what positio0n do you tend to follow more when someone does a career 'chise?
Lefty control specialist?
Closer?
Righty power SP?
Corner IF?
Middle IF?
Outfielder?
EDIT: I went with a lefty control SP. Think a lefty Greg Maddux.Last edited by acts238shaun; 11-15-2011, 06:52 PM.Comment

Asking doesn't mean it's happening. The team wants your player(not you...sounds like I'd trade you in a heartbeat!)

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Speaking of the Indians, has anyone played their first season of any mode, and had Josh Tomlin come out as AL MVP? My first road to the show season ended with a 1 year contract for AAA starting position for Oakland. And when I happened to check out the awards, Josh Tomlin won Cy Yound and MVP. I found this interesting. In real life I do find Tomlin to be a great pitcher, and I think a lot of people will be surprised over the next few years at his ability. But in the game his scouting report is pretty bad. He's rated as a C potential, and overall has pretty terrible stats. I've pitched a no hitter with Tomlin before, and that is the only pitcher I've done it with. I've gotten close with Jimenez and Verlander. But Tomlin is the only one I've actually done it with.

Can't believe 'management' won't send Valaika down for the SS in AAA. I have the injury slider maxed out hoping he gets a call up and the video game Valaika sprains an ankle of something. Kids hitting .368 in AAA with a near .500 OBP with 10 steals the first month. His secondary is 3B, at least call him up for that spot. Grrr. He'd take Tabata's spot at leadoff for sure and I'd have someone on base and I actually bat more in the 1st inning.Last edited by acts238shaun; 11-22-2011, 03:49 PM.Comment
