Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread

Weird error in RTTS: so I made a buffed up SS, got yelled at by my AA manager for getting caught stealing on my own. Then, I got traded to the Rays AA club, and a few days later, I singled to get on as the tying run in the bottom of the 10th, then promptly stole my way into scoring position (successfully). My club couldn't knock me in, and we lost.

Anyway, the next day I had a message from my (new) manager, yelling at me for stealing without being told, and how he'd told me many times not to steal. Guess they forgot to tell the CPU that this wasn't the same manager, and that I didn't get caught stealing.

it doesn't matter if you get caught stealing or not.. the manager is angry at you for stealing on your own regardless.

I'm in my 5th year and got traded to the astros 3 seasons ago and am doing pretty good as starter and only signing 1 year contracts but no one offers me contracts during the offseason besides them and if i sim the off season they sign me to even less!

you don't become a free agent until you've played 6 years in the big leagues. you can see this on the "service time" part of your player card.

and if you don't sign a deal in the off season your team will just renew your old contract.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread

I'm still playing RTTS and I'm going to finish one last season before MLB 12 comes out. I'm currently in July just after the all-star break in the 2017 season.

My team the Texas Rangers are 50-47, 2 games back from the division leader Oakland.

My player starting 2nd Baseman for the Rangers is hitting .284 with 105 hits, 21 doubles, 4 triples, 20 HR's, 61 RBI's, and 10 stolen bases.

                Slugging %: .524
                OBP .317

Some noteables this year: I made my first all-star game. I get into the game in the 7th inning with the game tied 0-0 at that point. The AL was still hitless. With a man on first, the first pitch I get I hit it for a HR. Definently one of the best moments I've had in MLB 11 the Show. The game ended with the AL winning 2-0. I also hit the 100th HR of my players career this season.

my guy is basically a walking 0-game right now. so frustrating!!! been robbed dozens of times in the gaps with diving catches and diving stops in the IF... oh well. And i'm playing for the Athletics... with all 14 people that show up in the stands each game. hah.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread

                      Hey everyone, new here.

I am currently a 3rd baseman for the Houston Astros org.

First all year at AA, hit .384, slugged .770, hit 41 homeruns and 137 rbis. Got sent to the future games, Hooks made the playoffs but only got past round one.

Second year started in Houston, hardly got at bats. Hit .385 with 15 homeruns and 43 rbis in 162 at bats. Sent down to AAA where I'm a bench player! Hitting .480 with 6 homeruns and 25 rbis in 25 at bats.

WTF? They seem to hate starting me. lol

They usually don't change your role until after a set of advancement goals. See if you become a starter then.

MLB The Show has such a detailed contract/roster management interface, so why in the WORLD is my RTTS player STILL getting multi-million dollar contracts before he's even arbitration eligible?
Just makes no sense why they still haven't fixed this.

Spent my entire first year in AA Akron. Ended up getting a broken wrist on July 14th and was out for the rest of the season. My AA team went on to sweep both teams in the playoffs for the AA Eastern League Championship without me.

.322 AVG 16 HR 58 RBI on all-star difficulty with some sliders tweaked.

Now in July 2013 with AAA Columbus. Injury free and in first place by 4.5 games.

.310 AVG 12 HR 43 RBI on all-star difficulty with some sliders tweaked.
