I played all the games - though admittedly, I had the settings a little easier (tweaked the sliders a bit for more power and solid hits, upped contact by one) and was playing on Rookie... and the stats show: was hitting .420 with 17 HR and 89 RBI before getting called up. Now - I'm going to make all the sliders realistic, because I want to have a realistic major league career. Definitely bumping difficulty up and adjusting all sliders so they're realistic... can't wait!
Congrats! I feel sorry for the MLB pitchers

I love Road to the Show!

I am in the middle of June in my first season as a SP. I chose to be drafted and went to the Rays organization. In AA I lit it up out of the bullpen, got two starts (one was 7 IP 1 run, one was 9 IP 1 run) and then got moved up to AAA. In AAA I've come out of the pen three times and it's been a little more difficult, but I'm liking it. I really feel like I can make it to Tampa Bay by the end of the year if I really push and improve (and get a little lucky). We'll see!

I'm pitching on All-Star difficulty right now using the Pure Analog controls.

I'm getting ready to start a RTTS and am debating whether to do one as myself or someone interesting. Here are my ideas so far:
        • Michael Jordan
        • Kevin Butler
        • Kenny Powers
        • Henry Rowengartner (Rookie of the Year)
        • Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez

Is there a glitch with managers? Or is Joe Maddon not in the game?
          Anybody know?

I got called up in the Rays organization and the Rays have same (looking) manager as the AAA club. I'm beginning to think the AA manager was the same guy too. Anyone else notice this?

FINALLY hit my first big league HR!! My SS has been sucking at the major league level with the KC Royals. He's batting .136, 2 RBI after 60 AB so far. Well he had a break out game last night: 2 for 4, 1 HR, 5 RBI. It was very rewarding since it's taken 5 years to get to the show. I had "Battle Without Honor or Humanity" as my HR music and savored every second of the replay.

I'm so impressed with this game! I've got a RTTS going, as well as a franchise with the Padres and both modes are incredibly detailed and deep. Each has different aspects that are refreshing and so very immersive. I think SCEA has achieved baseball perfection with this title.

Started my RTTS as a CF/LF and was drafted in the Phillies Organization. I played decent through May, but coudln't crack the starting lineup. I was batting about .320 with 2 HR and 14 RBI when I saw I was on the trading block. I figured being traded early would not be bad, but then I slid into 3rd and got an injury, torn achilles out for year. That sucks, I didn't have another save file or I would have replayed the game. Now I have to save files in case a bad injury happens again. I can handle a 15 or 60 DL but a 6 month injury is killing my chances. Why does RTTS have to be so addicting? I hate making a choice between RTTS and sleep, its not fair.

In the playstation store, you can buy a "cheat" that ends a RTTS injury.

My Player is in an opposite situation, halfway though my 2nd season, I got traded from my beloved Giants Organization to the Mets Organization and I have absolutely been smashing the ball ever since at the AAA Level!

I am currently the best player in the league with a .346 AVG, 4 in HR with 14, and 6th in RBI with 61. Keep in mind that these are about a week before the all star break.

Hopefully I will get called up the the big team soon, the numbers don't lie, I am ready!

I created a player based on someone a team drafted last year. I used the slider creation to match the player's draft profile and have gone from there. It's been a fun way to play. So you might want to pick someone from a college team you like or a top prospect in the minors of your favorite MLB club.

Hmm, good idea. The Royals have Aaron Crow, who pitched at Mizzou the same time I was there and he was fun to watch.

I've noticed it. I had a game the other night where I was told I was out of energy by the 6th and manager kept me in 8 full innings.

I found by picking a real person, it made the slider creation at the beginning better. You can start him off as the player the organization really drafted him for. So I picked an Auburn player, Trent Mummey, who signed with the Orioles. He's got decent speed, good contact, and a plus defender. So that worked really good with the slider creation.

In June of 2012, I'm in AAA for the Tigers. Just hit my first Grand Slam yesterday. I can't stand how my advancement goals sometimes include "Improve bunting ability". I'm one of the best hitters in the league, I am NEVER going to bunt, EVER. Pisses me off because I have to waste XP that I could use in other places, because there's no chance in hell I'm going to draw more than 1 walk, let alone 4 or more.

All the times before, I just ignored the bunting goals, but I've gone 1/4 and 2/4 in my last 2 goal sets, and of course, there it is again so I'm just going to do it this time and see if it ends them.

Also I strike out way too much. Something like 49 Ks in 150 at bats. I strike out at least once a game. Not good.

You can be traded multiple times in the off-season? I just won the CY Young and League MVP for the Nationals(They won the WS in 2013!) and then was traded in the off-season to the Blue Jays and then about a month later I was traded to the Tigers.
