Is it weird that i'm an 18 year old in my first season playing starting SS for the cubs (lots of injuries, but still)? I hate to say it, i wanted into the majors but now i feel like things are a little unrealistic. i already felt guilty about making an American born 18 year old but i never expected to play a month as a starter in my first season...

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I had an interesting event happen last night-I hit a ball down the HR and the Umps called it a HR. It was then reviewed by replay and the call was revered. It was the first replay I've seen this year.
My RTTS player is now hitting .360 and has been made the starting RF in AA(I'm a CF).It took 2 months for me to be made a starter, but I just got some serious goals. 3 BB and 3 HR. I never walk, and I've only hit 4 HR the first 2 months. I'll need some luck to meet these goals.Comment

All-Around LF for the Carolina Mudcats. I would love to play for my Cincinnati Reds, so I purposely selected this team. I'm really loving the improvements to this year's RTTS.
Also, for all you Ohioans out there: All-American Field had to be modeled after the Columbus Clippers new Huntington Park. It's a mirror image.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
It is quite odd this year for me too, being in the MLB so fast. I'm a 19 year old SP as the number 2 in the Cub's starting rotation. Spent first year half in AA, then called up to AAA. Next year four games in AAA, then got called up to MLB. In previous two games, I would always spend one full year in AA, then in AAA, then get called up.
While I'm happy I get to start in the bigs, I wish I could have stayed in the minors to face some scrubs and get points before going against the big guys. I remember in first game against the White Sox, they killed me in 4.1 innings, blasting 4 homeruns off of me to score 7. I think my ERA for that game was 14.2!!! (Revenge was sweet though; next game against them I only allowed 2 hits and struck out 11 of them). Red Sox also killed me too, my ERA for that game was 7.50.Now Playing: MLB 11: The Show, Battlefield BC2, Pokemon White, Portal 2, Mass Effect 2 (still), COD: Black Ops, FIFA '11
Waiting For: Mass Effect 3, Battlefield 3, Uncharted 3, LA Noire, Batman Arkham City, The Last Guardian, Battlefield 3, Gears of War 3, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future SoldierComment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I got drafted by the Braves....got traded to the Cardinals for Albert Pujols (who subsequently signed with the Braves). I'm currently in AAA for the Cardinals blocked by David Frese at 3B. Frustrating...est 1978

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
ok i have a few RTTS questions that I'm sure are out there but I cant seem to find em. I started as a starting pitcher and i'm currenlty in the AAA Reds Farm team.
My fastball velocity is maxed out at 99 and im throwing around 95-97mph. what other attributes should i max out to get this over 100. I figured K/9 and Stamina but is arm strength an attribute for pitchers like it is for fielders?
and lastly where can i find a link/tut/ or video on uploading screens from my RTTS to this website.
Sorry for all the questions but Thanks in advance.

You shouldn't have been blindsided. Just check to see if your name is on the trade block. You can also interact with your manager to remove your name from the trade block or ask him for a trade.Comment

Re: road to the show question
Hey all sorry if this isn't the place to ask this but I want to know what r the top skills to improve when making a starting pitcher with the 500 skill points you get. also I'm goin to be a shortstop in my other road to the show game and want to know what's thetop skills to work on. I'm not atm wanting to get the 1000 skill points thing. Thanks

Re: road to the show question
Yeup, it all depends on what you want to be.
I always save that initial 500 points in case there is a training period that I didn't earn enough points to accomplish. In years past sometimes you wouldn't get enough opportunities out of the pen to earn points. So far it hasn't happened to me this year though.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Actually , they do, at least in RTTS. I've currently got 1B Yonder Alonso of the AAA Louisville Bats on the trade block. You'll see both MLB players and minor leaguers on the trade block.Comment
