I play all games in a full 162 game season with the Yankees and Cardinals. Have done this since High Heat days.

Re: How Many Of You Play All 162 Games?
I didn't realize until this year that Season Mode was actually for multiple seasons, with the draft and free agency.
So I'll be doing 81 game seasons until SCEA allows us to do custom franchise.Comment

Re: How Many Of You Play All 162 Games?
Just bought a PS3 a few days ago so I can finally get The Show! I'm trying to decide if I'll play 1 game from each series or if I'll play 1 game from each plus all AL East games (I'll be using the Redsox) 1 each would be 52 games I believe, and 1 each plus all East would be 100. Or maybe I won't play games against Baltimore because they won't have any effect on standings...

Re: How Many Of You Play All 162 Games?
I'm determined to do it this year, I usually get tired of the team. But when OS FULL MINORS comes out. I am going to pick a team and stick with the one game a day go along with the team in real life style. I hope it works..Comment

Re: How Many Of You Play All 162 Games?
Every year I say I'm going to try and play all 162 and I never come close. This year however I really plan on picking a team and going through with it.
Like someone else said, I plan on taking a few days after I get the game, to get used to the pitching, hitting and fielding. Hopefully after that I can find a nice slider base and go from there.

Re: How Many Of You Play All 162 Games?
What does the Full Minors entail? Is it just a community roster with edited minor leagues?
All of this PS3/The Show stuff is so new to me

Re: How Many Of You Play All 162 Games?
OS Full Minors is a roster update created by this community to accurately represent the full rosters for all 30 teams from majors all the way to Single A. See, SCEA doesn't have the authority to create a player that has yet to play a game in the major leagues, so everybody under the ML level is replaced by a generated player that doesn't accurately represent their real stats.
It usually doesn't get finished until April, so we have about a month to acclimate ourselves to the new game before those of us who wait for the rosters start our games.
Also, I wouldn't just dismiss the Orioles. They scare me this year.Last edited by Doran; 03-06-2011, 01:18 PM.Fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple LeafsComment

Not since WBS '95...
I like to play a bunch of the first month then every sixth game or so and maybe some otherwise fun match-ups. I'll never get multiple seasons deep otherwise and since I like the GM stuff that's a lot of the fun for me.Comment

Ahhh okay thanks! I tried figuring it out from the main thread for the roster, but it didn't give the specifics on what and why. Re: How Many Of You Play All 162 Games?
I always play at least one 162 game season. I dont find it that hard to do. A couple of games a day. On weekends I can get in two series easily. The summer is the easiest time for me because TV shows are mostly reruns and since I was a teacher, I used to get 10 weeks off in the summer to twiddle my thumbs literally. Now that I'm an AP, I only get one month off during the summers but I will still find time to get my games in.
Added note:
I'm in my early 30's. I don't have children of my own. I do a lot of my weekend gaming in the mornings so my GF doesn't get upset because we still get to hang out and stuff. Since baseball is pretty much the only video game I play around this time of year, I dont have to worry about splitting my gaming attention elsewhere.Yankees & Nationals - The American Way!Comment

Thought you were about 15 until I read the rest!
I was like "two series in a day?" ... that's a full time job!
I'm going to try this year but we'll see. I might join the "dark side" and play one game of each series.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives
