Don't know if its really a little thing but I started my RTTS and the rays picked me up in the draft. So I started in double a with Montgomery, and to my surprise the starting second baseman was none other than Ramone Russell. Thought that was cool

I'm loving the new cutscenes when a pitcher gets hit by a ball up the middle. I've seen two different ones so far, and both times the pitcher has been find to continue. Hopefully it does cause the occasional injury.

I also had a bang-bang play at the plate. The throw was there just in the nick of time, and Pudge made a continues motion from catching the ball to tagging the runner out. He was nailed, but the ump called "Safe!" I was like WTF, but then I saw that the ball had flailed out of Pudge's glove right as he made the tag and rolled a few feet away. It looked awesome!

          Yeah, i love that touch.

Also, Dodgers play Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" before the bottom of the 8th inning in their home games and if you are playing as them and trailing in the 8th, Matt comments along the lines of "don't stop believing" lol

The scoreboard in right field at Busch has Left On Base in addition to Runs, Hits, and Errors like it does in real life, I don't remember that being in last year.

Not a Yankee guy but I noticed when you hit a homerun with them it plays those little jingles with that " ping pong ping pong, ping ping ping ping" thing at the end of it. LOL sorry that it comes out like that but I'm typing so I can't say it. But if you've ever seen a Yankee game you'll know what I'm talking about.

How the dirt looks when it gets wet during rain games is strikingly awesome.

Line drive to right field, Nick Swisher dives for it and misses, he actually slides over the ball, then gets up trying to find it. Priceless moment.

Also the plays at third base are MUCH better this year, the matador defense is toned down a huge amount.

Re: MLB 11 The Show: "The Little Things" Thread

Some of you Yankee fans have posted little Yankee things, but here is a list of all the things I found

                      1. Updated Monument Park (with the BIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGG BOSS plaque and a much smaller one for The Voice of God.)

                      2. Sounds - When the Yankees score a run, you hear an organ version of this, and when a pitcher strikes out an opposing batter, you get a generic whistle that sounds "coincidentally" like the P. C. Richard & Sons whistle that plays.

                      3. YANKEE STADIUM - These huge letters in left field look better proportioned (thanks to the guys at Community Day) and in rainy games it even "glows" like the real thing.

                      4. Jumbotron improved like every other stadium.

                      5. Though there are no real bleachers in the game, they are colored grey so they look like the real thing/

                      6. MY FAVORITE: In previous years, we have had Vasgersian parodying John Sterling's THEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE YANKEES WIN! call . This year, there is a piece that kind of is a thumb to the nose to Michael Kay. I gave up a home run, and the call is, "Back goes Gardner in left, but as one Yankees announcer says, See Ya!"

After years, the Show FINALLY fixed Progressive Field to not have the Central title banners in left and added the new scoreboard.

While it may not be your traditional "Little Things" for most of you, it's huge to me and I can FINALLY play as the Indians.

Don't know if this one has been mentioned, but I have played 1 game so far and it was online last night. Mets(me) vs Philles and there were 2 outs as I was batting. Karros started talking about how the Mets season might turn out if they stay healthy and the starting pitching performs well and as he was talking about that I grounded out to end the inning and it goes to the cutscene where its shows boxscore and Phillies due up are and I can still hear Karros talking about the Mets. He goes on until almost 4 pitches into the 1st batter. I thought that was cool and a huge improvement from last year. Last year the commentator would be talking and if the inning ended he would instantly stop talking about what he was talking about.

Yep agreed, that's pretty cool. In my RTTS my pitcher got hit by a ball right in the middle of his bat...by my CATCHER!!! So the runner on first base tried to steal to 2nd, so naturally the catcher tries to throw him out. But lo and behold, he threw it directly into my pitcher's back! First I ...then me and my lil bro ...

One thing I'd like to see - When fans are reaching over to try to grab a foul ball, every once in a while they should come up with it.

The coolest thing I've noticed so far is that all outfielders don't get the same jump on a ball. Crawford and Ichiro get great jumps, while guys like Jason Bay get a pretty slow start. Definitely a huge improvement. Also - you can actually find a gap rather than having everything run down. Love that.
