I'm sure they can patch this back in, it's just strange that SCEA never remove old settings but this time they did.. Maybe they don't even know. But I played a few games last night, I paid attention to the pitcher and the pitches and I did much better.

Right!! That's the part that's really annoying - they always keep features!

Anyway, I'm sure I can be much better at the game if I pay more attention to the pitcher, etc. - but I just don't find it as fun or rewarding as the previous guess pitch setup!

Still a little confused, especially since I never thought to look at different GP options last year.

So turning feedback OFF does what, exactly? Punishes you less?

It turns off feedback. It does what it says. What is so confusing about it?

It works the same way, only you don't have a bright flashing indicator on the screen. It's to give the impression of being at the plate and mentally sitting on a pitch.

Easy, killer. Just asking a question. When I played with it off last night, and guessed location only (I rarely guess type, too), I still seem to recall it flashing in the zone I guessed if I was correct. Meaning, I knew the general area the ball would be in.

Is this NOT considered feedback?

Do you get what I'm asking? Not trying to be difficult, just trying to clear some thing up. If I guess location, and I'm correct, the zone will be highlighted just prior to delivery, and the the PCI will lock in place. I assume, although I don't know correctly or otherwise, that attributes are affected positively or negatively based on being right or wrong.

If feedback is off, does the zone not highlight if guessed correctly, so you're really not 'guessing' anything? Are attributes NOT temporarily affected? What, exactly, is the "feedback" that is turned off? When I played with it off last night, I didn't seem to notice a difference, so I assumed (again, correctly or incorrectly, I don't know) that the only feedback I wasn't receiving was attribute adjustment.

Nothing wrong with your question - just asking you to clarify what you don't understand.

No Feedback means nothing flashes if you guess correctly - visibly - on the screen.

Everything works the exact same way as with it on. If you don't want anything to be impacted, then you'd have to turn it off and don't use it. It wouldn't make sense to have it on then.

OK, so what I THINK you're saying is that you can still guess a pitch, the PCI will still lock in place if you guessed correctly, but there'll never be any indictation whatsoever that you guessed correctly until you check the analysis afterwards? I take it, then, that the 'default' from '10 is the same as the 'default' from '11.

If feedback is turned off, what's the point of turning on guess pitch at all?

To get the same minimal boost but without the visual "cheating."

Some feel it represents a hitter sitting on a pitch and isn't diluted by video game-ish graphics on the screen.

Great, thanks! I appreciate the input. There are many freakin' options in this game and few are thoroughly explained. Makes it tough for a relative noob like myself to get a handle on everything.

According ot the gms description having No Feedback selected also gives you much larger penalties/rewards for guessing incorrectly/correctly. So I wouldnt use it for every pitch. I use Classic 1/4th which gives u less of a reward stats wise.

Stopped using guess pitch with timing hitting. Makes no sense to me anymore. With Zone hitting it was a nice thing to have because of having to position the left stick. Now with timing I like just guessing myself and I have become a much better hitter. Taking way more pitches now.

People really dont use Guess pitch to the fullest sometimes. What I do is I guess location only and only on my Red or clear areas, If your player is blue on low pitches dont guess their. On two strikes then maybe but for the most part I stay stubborn and will only guess on my hitting areas that are red.

I am now reading conflicting reports, some say it has changed, others say the tutorials show it to work the same as last year on rookie. still have gotten no answer from the folks that have the answers lol.

In past years you never had to guess the location just the pitch, now if you guess location it will give you the location but not the pitch, if you guess just the pitch it makes a sound, if you guess both and that is very hard to do, i think you get both,
I like last years version, I think this years is usless, I also don't like the square button, wish you could give your swing type before the pitch

I've played 10 games so far, gave up on analog hitting when back to classic vet but I can't get more than 5 hits per game. Guess pitch doesn't work like last year so in the 10 games I've taken 3 balls total. Omg I miss the old guess pitch lol.*

You can always guess the pitch by yourself.

People really dont use Guess pitch to the fullest sometimes. What I do is I guess location only and only on my Red or clear areas, If your player is blue on low pitches dont guess their. On two strikes then maybe but for the most part I stay stubborn and will only guess on my hitting areas that are red.

by guessing your "blue" zone you get valuable information. first (depending on the count) to lay off or foul off the pitch. also if you guessed wrong, then you know its probably going into your "red" zone.
