Re: MLB 11 The Show - Bug/Glitch Discussion Thread
I've had 2 bugs that I'm not sure that could be recreated.
The first one was I hit that ended up not hitting the wall but disappearing into the outfield crowd. The game kind of paused for a moment...not frozen than the cpu decided to give me a single, which it probably would have been if it bounced off the wall at the speed it was going. This was at Cleveland's stadium.
The last bug was an outfielder "flying" above the wall as he attempted to snag a homerun. I could see him along with another outfielder watching the ball fly over there heads at the wall and than the left fielder began floating slightly higher than the top of the wall.
Other than that it's been fine and I've played a good 20 games now.Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show - Bug/Glitch Discussion Thread
Right before the cut scene with the grounds crew fixing up the field at the end of the third there seems to be a slight freeze in the game. It just freezes for a second and then resumes normally. I'm sure this is a bug, because it only seems to happen before the grounds crew cut scene. It happens everytime this cut scene comes up at the end of the third. Nothing major but it is noticeable.Comment

Has the PNC park bug been fixed? The one where if you hit it in the LCF corner the CF will run into the wall and the LF will do nothing.Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show - Bug/Glitch Discussion Thread
Try deleting your game data and playing without the patch. If it works try downloading the patch again since it might be that something got corrupted while downloading the first time.
If nothing works you shold go to where you bought the game and get a new disc.Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show - Bug/Glitch Discussion Thread
Okay....two work arounds for two of the glitches...
First one is a Manage only Mode glitch in which you cannot double switch because the game won't allow you to choose a player or move the highlighted player...only back out of the screen.
Here is what you do...
After pinch hitting for you pitcher...the bullpen screen comes up with the "you have a position player on the mound" message...
DON'T do anything...
Back out of the screen and your pinch hitter will be on the mound...
Go to the catcher defensive sub screen....swap your pinch hitter(pitcher) to the position you want him in....now that other player will be on the mound.
Go back to the bullpen....
Swap in a pitcher....
Viola! double switch!
For the pitcher warm bug that blocks the inning/outs bar...
Save your game....reload...the inning/outs are back.
Not great..but it works...

Re: MLB 11 The Show - Bug/Glitch Discussion Thread
I'm not sure if this is a bug or a glitch, but it's something that's been this way for a long while in the series. I hope it gets corrected.
In Options you can select the pitch result to show the full result (movement of the pitch, MPH, landing spot), Simple which only shows the landing spot of the pitch and off. I think those are the options.
Anyway, whichever one does not show the result of the pitch also renders the MPH on the scoreline nonexistent, which is disappointing.
I'd like to remove all graphics showing where the pitch ended up in the zone, but also have the MPH appear on the scoreline."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: MLB 11 The Show - Bug/Glitch Discussion Thread
I tried to rob a homerun, but the ball bounced off Raburn's glove and over the fence. Rios kept rounding the bases and it counted as an inside the park HR, when the ball clearly went over the fence (after it hit my glove.) Should have been a normal HR. I just had to run around the outfield while he rounded the bases.JayElectronicaBluElzhi2PacTheNotoriousB.I.G.ReksSc arfaceFashawnJeruThaDamajaComment

Re: MLB 11 The Show - Bug/Glitch Discussion Thread
Playing in franchise, manage Mode:
When you do a Hit and Run play and the batter swings and misses, if the runner steals second successfully he will then, on the very next pitch, try and steal 3B and the Hit and Run attempt is executed again.
I think the system reads the the missed Hit and Run as an incomplete order and then runs the request again, only now you are doing a hit and run with a runner at second and, if the batter swings and misses again yoru runner gets thrown out at 3B.Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show - Bug/Glitch Discussion Thread
I'm not sure if this is a bug exactly but it seems that every time a cpu closer gives up a run, he gets pulled, even if its still a save situation. For example, I was playing Boston and the Sox had a 3 run lead so Papelbon came in and my first batter hit a solo homer and Papelbon was immediately pulled. This has happened about 3 times so far and its kind of annoyingComment
