Re: Portraits with updating hats
By the looks of it, they don't remove faces from the database, even if the player no longer "exists" in the game.
If MLB 07: The Show was the first in the series for PS3, I wonder if we can get guys that retired after the '07 season...
Im gonna try Jeff Conine :P
WILL POST BACK, NO SCREENSHOTS THOUGHComment

Re: Portraits with updating hats
Doesn't matter who you overwrite... just the name you enter. The faces seem to be assigned to name.
If you are replacing current players you inherit their stats though, so if you are re-creating a current player, it's best to overwrite the same player.Comment

Re: Portraits with updating hats
Wow...now I'm torn on if I want them to fix the Jeter Head bug or not as I have a feeling it'll hurt this awesome glitch. Maybe we can beg them to just give us the option using rendered heads or photos?
BTW, regardless if audio doesn't matter, I'd still like Jackson turned on lol. I don't like having my RTTS guy having "Jack" as a last name :PComment

Re: Portraits with updating hats
Jeff Conine works! However, he signed a 1 day contract with the Marlins in 2008, so he was probably in the FA pool in 2008.
I want to try someone from 07...
Just tried Bernie Williams, works also!
John Olerud (didn't expect to work) has Jeter's face :P
So it seems like every player who has been in the game since the first PS3 installment (MLB 07) has their head stored in the game, so we can bring back anyone who did not retire by the end of the 2006 season! Pretty neat!
Also, it seems like everyone present in in the PS2 games have some form of data stored, but not a next-gen head model, hence the Olderud (last game was in 2005) model using the Jeter head.Last edited by nmycon; 03-12-2011, 12:56 AM.Comment

Re: Portraits with updating hats
i didn't mean to detract from that project (finding "heads" of classic/retired players), this one was originally just supposed to be for current players, so i'd suggest checking over there
if i get around to it, ill try to post a pic or two for ya!Comment

Re: Portraits with updating hats
Did you do it right cause i just compared and mine looks just like Terry Adams. Did you do this?
Here's what you do.
Braves are missing Jordan Schafer this year since he was removed.
Either Download (If he's in the vault) or Create a Player named Jordan Schafer.
Give him his correct Height/Weight/Skin/Number/Etc but leave the audio blank
Upload him to your vault and download him.
Import him to your roster.
Edit him and give him the correct audio save and exit.
Click edit again and he will have his correct model and player headPHILLIES PHANS: IT'S GONNA BE A GREAT YEARComment

I created this thread, and you don't have to upload to the roster vault, you can just export the player and load him again
and first you said you created Terry Adams, now you are saying create Jordan Schafer...
I'll try Terry Adams again
UPDATE:
Still no luck with Adams, got Schafer to work thoughLast edited by nmycon; 03-12-2011, 02:16 AM.Comment
