I don't wanna get this thread closed because there is some nice work being discussed here. Also I want it to be known that I am not bashing the developers but I am bashing the situation.

It was proclaimed that the problem was fixed and all was well you could go on for one hundred years and all would be good. Then the game comes out and the problem smack us all in the face and for the 2nd year in a row there is a search for a workaround.

The main problem I have is the non communication on the subject. I feel there is some hiding and the fact that it was never recognized as a main issue is disturbing even last year the developers weren't interjecting themselves into the discussion about this issue.

I appreciate the work you guys put in for us who don't have the patience or time to help in the situation.

The fact is, we were lead to believe the issue had been resolved. It hasn't been resolved. That's all we know.

The fact as it stands, doesn't speak well for the MLB team.

Ok back on topic I finnally Opened up the game and I don't see how you set a team to 1 profile let alone multiple how exactly do you get a profile on this game?

When you select the team with the little read check mark or thirty team check marks, you have to go to each team and push the right or left stick right to change the procile listed under the team.

I remember that thread as well where they said it was fixed. Its tough to accept when someone tells you something is in a game and its not. Terribly frustrating, and really out of character with SCEA. I really hope someone will clarify what happened and if there is in fact a fix that can be patched. I'm waiting to start a franchise, but if there is no way to patch this, I can go ahead and start.

Are you guys really surprised by this stuff? It happens every year, in every sports game. Last years game was filled with bugs. NCAA Football 11 had the complete fail in player progression, and now this. These games have become so complex, stuff like this always happens. Sad thing is, it seems like the Sony's and EA's of the world are content with letting the users be the bug testers. and then patching the game later.

I'd like this thread to still be here when they come back with their findings.

It does look like there won't be a single team workaround. You just can't make the CPU do things it should. :/

But, I can finally start my Cubs franchise, and lead them to the promised land!

Well put, people have made their feelings known already so lets try and stay focued and on the topic of finding a way to work around this problem until something official from SCEA comes out.

I tried that but all I was getting was the level tonput it on maybe I was looking at the wrong thing

SCEA still might not know why the problem creeped back into the final build of the game. Maybe they do know but don't have a resolution yet? We do have to face the possibility this might not be fixed and will need to use the 30-team control workaround.

I don't believe there's been a fix found for controlling just one team. It's not the ideal sitaution but at least there is some sort of option to help with this franchise problem. Does that allow SCEA to slide on the matter? No, certainly not!

I have to consider all the frustrations from members and they are well warranted due to this supposedly being fixed a good while back in the testing of this game. I understand and support the frustrating posts about this situation. Most have handled their posts relatively well without going too far. I too am frustrated about it.

There's nothing more we can do right now though other than bring in our own fixes. I expect some kind of announcement soon enough from SCEA about this matter. Will it be what we want to here? Nobody knows! I'm just hoping a patch can fix it but a patch was never brought about with MLB 10 The Show about this same issue. Let's just hope there is a patch that addresses this problem from franchise mode. If not, then we'll be left with what's being used from this thread. Thanks guys!

From the main menu, you need to create individual profiles...I dont have the game in front of me, but there is a location where you create them. When you create them, make sure to make the adjustments to auto/manual things under mode options.

From the main menu, go to the pair of Gears (options)
Select User Settings
Create (I think the default name will be CUSTOM 1 (and then CUSTOM 2, CUSTOM 3, etc)
Create 2 custom profiles, Make 1 the default and set it up for yourself.
Mode Options is where you setup the options for Auto/Manual for franchise
Set 1 profile to your settings
Set 2nd profile to the settings you want for the CPU (Auto on everything typically)
I then set my custom profile to USE AS DEFAULT

When you start a franchise, select all 30 teams with Square, and then put Custom 1 profile for your team, and Custom 2 for everyone else. And you are good to go.

using the 30 team workaround, it doesn't seem to make as big a problem, I suppose you can turn it to manual for everyone if you like. I had it on/auto for everyone when I was doing my sims when I worked on the workaround.

Did you notice if, with training on, the young players are becoming too good? I am referring more to their stats than their money demands. I remember someone saying a while back that they were getting multiple guys hitting .360+ a year or two in.
