Re: anyone have a "good" player on your team that you just can't hit with?
Well, the question for me should be what player don't I struggle with, but to answer your question -
Chase Utley. Can't hit anything with him.
And I feel bad about it too.
He deserves a better job from me!
It's probably because I get up there thinking, "I'm Chase f-ing Utley, I'll hit anything you throw at me, beeotch". And then I, ehem, chase EVERYTHING.Comment

I haven't started my Franchise yet this year, but last year it was Hanley. I was hitting below the Mendoza line for the first month of the year. So frustrating 'cause his attribute ratings are through the roof.
I think my main problem was lack of discipline. Pitchers were very careful with Hanley and so often times I chased out of the zone. Then again, pitchers would pitch very carefully around Uggla and I think I had 6 HRs with him 2 weeks into the season!Comment

I started off dreadful with Votto the first 2.5 weeks, but since then I have gotten him back up over .300 and have a lot of extra base hits. Despite the poor average at the beginning I was still able to keep the RBI hits coming. Bruce was the same, but all of the sudden I started getting some XBH with him and now he is hitting respectably.
Stubbs on the other hand has hit 6 HR in April so far, and fluctuates between .380-.390, wonder when his first slump will come?Comment

Jay Bruce.
It's gotta be his stance. I loaded him up in HRD one day when a buddy was over and I didn't hit one dinger with him. My buddy who has never played before beat me bad using Prince.

Paul Konerko................. while hitting with him I can only muster deep foul balls or strikeouts. In 8-10 games, I don't believe that any batted ball by him has traveled inside the fair territory........it's just crazy

Im a die hard Giants fan but ive lived in Texas my whole life so im doing a mini season with the Rangers while I wait for rosters. I am batting awful as a team. Its my first show game and Mabster has reminded me its a learning curve but Ive played about 19 games and only have 2 homers with Hamilton and the only guy I hit well with consitantly is Kinsler. Currently on a 9 game hit streak with him. Its killing me lolDrew Stubbs is fastComment

I used to hit over .350 with Uggla in 10 but in this version Im 0 - 10 in the first 2 games and managed only 1 hit in the preseason... I think they changed his stance slightly but I cant tell. Im raking it with Kendrys Morales thoughComment

Jayson Werth on the Nats.
He's one of the best outfielders in the game and yet I can't hit for **** with him. I've homered with Nyjer Morgan in my franchise before I've even gotten a hit with Werth.Comment

For me Votto is hitting .357 with 2 HR and 6 doubles just 16 games in. However, he only has 9 rbi's. That could be because Phillips is taking them all out of the 2 hole. Phillips is hitting over .400 and leads the league in H, HR(7), RBI(17), and runs scored.I started off dreadful with Votto the first 2.5 weeks, but since then I have gotten him back up over .300 and have a lot of extra base hits. Despite the poor average at the beginning I was still able to keep the RBI hits coming.
