i'm wondering as well, when you go to the editor you can do anything you want so you can make it offset, but that pitcure looks like it's just the wide view, lowered. the pitcher rubber and home plate look aligned, not offset. the offset views u see both are not aligned.

LOL I couldn't find this thread...

Friend of mine took a pic 3 weeks ago of both games using the default angle, same batter. The left is MLB 10, the right is MLB 11:

Why such a big change? have no idea... I tried lowering the cam SLIGHTLY to account for being able to recognize the low pitch and it works wonders. I haven't found a Catcher Cam that doesn't make the high pitch look weird (Catcher 3 still looks off). This is my custom...

Default Cam vs. My Custom Cam

again the change seems small until you see the zone vs. the pitchers' waist and the CF in the background.

I use Catcher 4 or 5...my last game, I think I got walked about 5 times and forced the Brewers pitcher to throw just abut 80-85 pitches through 5 innings of work...I'm able to really see the ball and extend a lot of AB's.

I use offset 4. No strike zone or pitch info. Offset makes seeing the ball feel more 3D. Can really sit back on pitches and see the angle and pitch speed better.

I posted this in another thread, but this is what I use:

The only pitch I really seem to have trouble with is determining the speed on the slider when it's a righty on righty or lefty on lefty. Also I'll blame the game's strike zone more than anything, but I lay off what I think will be pitches above the zone and they end up being called strikes. But the strike zone is far too high for players with crouched strike zones, so it just makes it more obvious with this angle.

Blzer your view is a custom view, correct? I recreated it based off your photos and its very good view! The only reason I went to Offset 4 is because I wasn't sure you can use custom views for online play. Otherwise your camera view is my favorite.

Yup, mine is custom. If you want to replicate it exactly, play in Fenway Park and figure out exactly where everything should be in accordance to the view. I definitely did some zooming out, lifting up, tilting down, cocking offset, and shifting to the pull side a bit. It works wonders for me and is beautiful.

I have a question about trying these views - can you go into practice (batting) mode and try them out? And once you find one you like, can you save it as a setting and load it into say, my RTTS players? Or does it just set and you use it everywhere?

I'm not doing terribly with the default view, but would like to improve my vision some, so I could draw more walks (I've already adjusted the sliders).

Are there measurements? I don't see any coordinate or position vectors.

I made a general post about what I did. I don't know, just recreate it haha, it's not like I had a specific look in mind to start off with, I just moved everything around until I said, "This looks like it will work for me."

Go to Fenway Park, and just try to replicate the look. Take snapshots and compare them directly to mine and see where you're off. Here's a hint: If you get the stadium angles captured correctly but the player looks too big, that means you're too zoomed in. Et cetera.

Yea that's what I did. I'm sure my verison of his camera isn't the same to a tee, but it's close enough. However I feel like Offset 4 is a similar angle, just zoomed in more.
