Re: What is your favorite walk up song?
My favorite lately has been Blue Cranes - "Hated Because of Great Qualities"
You can find it on YouTube. Nice instrumental version of a song originally done by Blonde Redhead. It's kind of dark and sultry sounding. It's a little unsettling. When I use it as a walk-up song for a batter, it kind of announces to the dude on the mound: "Hey, I'm not just going to get on-base here. I'm going to dominate you. Sexually, if need be."
Some other ones I like:
- "Cooperstown" by the Felice Brothers. Has a line that mentions Tiger Field. I cut up a clip of this song for my RTTS guy when he got traded to the Tigers.
- "Oh My" by the Drones.
- "Hit Somebody" by Warren Zevon. Yeah, it's a hockey song (about a guy who fills the role of a goon or "enforcer" on his team). But in a franchise I drafted this one guy who for some reason reminded me of that song, because he seemed like just this big, clumsy oaf who I only ever used for a very specific role. So I made a clip of this to use as his song.
- Somebody made a YouTube video using the theme music to the TV show "Parks and Rec." Except it's got footage from Star Wars and they added lyrics (people just saying "Jabba the Hutt" over and over again along with the music). I yanked the music off that video to use as a ringtone. And it works nicely in The Show too, of course, especially for a dorky relief pitcher type.
- "Goodbye Horses." The song the serial killer was dancing to in Silence of the Lambs. Just amuses me.Comment

Re: What is your favorite walk up song?
As much as I hate to admit it. Last year I did all the walk-up music for the American League (made franchise so much more engrossing.) and I started to like A-Rods "Amazing" by Kanye. So I added it to Adam Jones' rotation for the remainder of the season.Moderator

Re: What is your favorite walk up song?
Last year I created a 3B that ended up playing for the Cubs. His walkout song was - "Homecoming" by Kanye West.
Other walkup songs that I used were "When The Levee Breaks" by Led Zeppelin and "Bleed It Out" by Linkin Park.
As a Closer I used: "Walk" by Pantera, "Welcome Home" by Coheed & Cambria and "Game Over" by Lil Flip.
This year I plan on using the following:
Walkout: "Gotta Have It" by Jay-Z/Kanye West, "Lay 'Em Down" by NEEDTOBREATHE
Closer: "Game Over" by Lil Flip, "Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin#HAILSTATEComment
