    Re: Homerun happy?

idk how you guys could play with a fantasy team. I remember back when I was a casual gamer and only had a ps2 and a gamecube I would play madden games and create a fantasy team. But now it just doesn't look right to me, I rather play with the REAL team. anyways back on topic, OP do you have your sliders on default? because if you do, there is your answer. The default settings are ridiculous. You could throw the most perfect un hittable pitch and they would still get a solid hit out of it or a home run. I downloaded a roster that received 100% ratings on the sliders vault and its been great. no homers in my first game so far with the nationals. But hey I'm IRL I'm a die hard yankees fan but I'm really liking the nationals team. Strasburg is a beast, Ryan zimmerman is probably my 2nd favorite 3rd basement behind longoria. I really like werth and his new batting stance. They have some speedy players too like desmond, morgan, etc.. They are really good "IN THE GAME". Wish I could say the same IRL LMFAO!

I personally feel the game is quite HR happy, yes.

I feel like 3-4-5 basehit rallies are on the rare side.

Ugh. I hate to say it, but on Default settings, the game is a tad on the homer friendly side.

Unfortunately, when I lowered wind (and I've extensively tested this), my homeruns and doubles allowed drop below MLB averages.

I've settled on dropping my power and solid hits a click, while dropping wind a click as well.

Remember, you need the wind to blow in; in order to compensate for the 5 home run outbursts. The wind blows straight at you plenty, so I have to believe if overall home runs can be mellowed out slightly (during the gail force blowing straight out moments), overall homeruns will indeed balance themselves out over the long haul.

I'm in the middle of the pack with HR's. HOF defaults - Wind down to 0.

I actually thought there were less then there should be. But as the srping progressed it started to even out some.

Oh. I agree. Wind seems to help with this alot.

But, with wind really low, my homeruns allowed were WAY low. How's your homeruns allowed totals? 1 per game is ideal.

About 1 per game I guess maybe 1.5. That's another stat that I'm middle of the road in but I don't exactly know the number.
