Last year, Edwin Jackson, 149 pitch no hitter with 8 walks.

    Unrealistic, oh wait.

No hitter being the key word.

Also the fact that they were up by 9 on me in the 8th should have played a role.

Does this happen every game? I never seen it happen personally.

My response was still about realism with pitch counts. There have been quite a few 130+ pitch counts last year irl.

Definitely not every game. It's the first it's happened to me as well. I hope I didn't come off in a "bashing" tone, but it was just really concerning for a number of reasons.

I actually enjoyed being completely shut down through the first 7 innings, as I had been smacking the ball all around the yard the first two games of the series. It was just a combination of Lewis not having much in the way of stamina in the first place (low to mid 80's I believe), confidence determining the outcome of my batted balls far too much (yes, I do know that meatballs aren't always hit hard, and are even missed, but not the amount I was seeing), and the fact that they were blowing me out. Another thing was that the fastballs being grooved had lost a good 5 MPH on them (coming in down the middle at about 87 MPH, which is typically going to be hit hard). There is no way that he would have still been out there.

I doubt it's something we will see often, but yeah, it rubbed me the wrong way. Either way, onto the next game.
