Whats the bug?

Runs scoring as a direct result of an error are being scored as earned runs.

What game mode did you experience the bug/glitch in? (Gameplay, RTTS, Franchise, Online, Front End, etc.....)

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?

On a play where a run scores because of an error, such as the ball being thrown out of play, the run is being counted as earned.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

Any time a run scores as a direct result of an error.

Do you have video or pictures?

No.

This above ABSOLUTELY is happening and driving me crazy

just bought the game today and when i go to start a new franchise and get to the mode entry options screen i click X to continue and then my ps3 just restarts to the main menu, its the only game it does this with does anyone know any help? its happened every single time i havent gotten past that sreen once

Not exactly a bug, but definitely an issue with the game. There's not a lot to do with funds past the 1st year. I accumulate about 300 million in funds every year. I'm at the start of the 4th year and I have over 700 million in funds.

The game locks up after a weird foul ball call. I believe this is exactly the same bug as this post:

I'm using a different presentation so the screen locked up with a different camera angle, but the way the batter stands up in front of the home plate is exactly the same, having no access to game menu to continue the game is exactly the same. I suspect the cause may be similar.

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?

I was hitting, I just hit a sharp grounder up the middle, it hit the pitcher plate and bounced off of it. It becomes a looping "fly ball" after hitting the pitcher plate, going in the direction of backstop. It was called foul ball by the umpire, and then the game got stuck.

Now, I've seen this funny thing, batted ball deflect off of the pitcher plate a few times already. It was funny enough I kept a movie of it before. But those time it was never declared foul ball and the catcher just fielded the ball, and game went on fine. But this time, it locked up.


How often can the bug be reproduced?

It's rare, but I've experienced similar lock ups twice so far.

Yes but it's pretty much similar to the post referred to above so I won't bother posting here...

I think those are different issues. The bug I posted is a total lock up and there is no way out. I think the option to change fielding to manual and such doesn't matter (I always play with manual, and with RTTS there is no way to change the CPU fielding anyways).

okay, it might be related, but in RTTS you cannot change the fielding option so I think your clever way out doesn't work. I also had a similar issue with CPU vs CPU game, but the option to change team control was grayed out, so I don't think it would work there as well... Well at least if you are actually playing your solution is a good idea to try.

I was pitching and the computer hit the ball and the camera went to a view like it was a foul ball behind home plate but the runner window popped up and the runner took off for 1st and then turned around and came back to home plate and just stood there and I couldn't move any of my guys. I don't think I could do it again if I tried.

It's the only time I've ever seen it happen.

The game will keep re-loading the same training if you fail it. I keep failing contact training and I get it every time.

I have to add this is a mode-breaker for me. If this can't be fixed for next year's game, this will be my last year I play RTTS. I don't mind doing contact training if I fail it, but not every time. I haven't seen a single hitting training since I failed contact the first time.

Similar issue to post #172 and the one he links to in that post. I have also posted this previously.

Similar issue to post #172 and the one he links to in that post. I have also posted this previously.

I wonder if this glitch is related to specific ball park. Here again, it happened in Wrigley. Mine happened in Wrigley once, and also in a minor league field (I don't remember which off the top of my head).
