Safeco is absolutely a pitchers park. Very, very tough to hit in for right-handed hitters, but does lend itself to lefties

It varies by year which parks have the lowest home run rates, but Oakland appears like it might be the toughest AL park if you were to average it out across a decade or two.

not sure if rangers ballpark is homerun friendly but that damn wall on LF is killing the homeruns. Every time that I think that either me or the opponent gets a sure HR, it hits the wall...

In real life, the humidity helps that ball carry. Not only that, but in the way it was built, the winds sweep around the bowl and carry balls out of the park. IRL, The Ballpark in Arlington is a very hitter friendly park.

In the game, The Ballpark is a joy to hit in, but the problem is that during the first two innings of a night game, the sun hits the batter's eye in such a way that it's hard to see the pitch come out of the pitcher's hand. I think I may have had one home run in my first two innings at the Ballpark all year.

Safeco. You get that wind that blows in off the water and it makes it tough for balls to get out.

I've been to Safeco Field and really enjoyed the experience. Those Garlic Fries were amazing, too.

Garlic fries are the best thing EVER. Whoo-hoo!! first homestand here I come.

To piggy back. They always talk about how well the ball carries, and the jet stream that carries the ball out on ESPN baseball telecasts. The RF alley they always say is "tripple alley".

The only thing I didn't like about Safeco was the Merchandise Store. I found it very odd that you had to show your ticket to a guy (um, hello, I'm already INSIDE THE PARK) before you could enter. Once inside, my gosh was it crowded! It was near-impossible to look at anything. I actually wound up with a cool hat (wear it all the time) in one of the kiosks that was right outside the section I was sitting in.
