Here too. Agree 100% Screw no hitters. That one hit might start a rally, and winning is the only "rule" I am worried about.

Since the score was 3-0 there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. You are trying to win the game and baserunners are an important factor in doing that. If it was a blowout, I would have a different feeling.

That said, it would be frustrating in this game because it does seem too easy at times.

BTW, anybody reading this right now, check out the Marlins - Rockies game.

Yea I was watching that! Crazy. Broken bat base hit, tough way to lose a no-hitter. Especially considering the great catch on the next batter! Bummer.

He might have the worst contract in baseball right now. 250, no power, .340 OBP last year, and a .646 OPS. That is not good production for 9 million.

You will most definitely get drilled the next time up to bat, and perhaps the time after that.
As a matter of fact I played ball for a while, unfortunately I was not good enough to play after high school but I played. I even pitched a bit. To me I alway took it as such. I am going to give you the best I got, if you are giving me your best, then let's go. Just like I won't quick pitch ya, you don't bitch me. As most have said if you, in my book are withing 4 runs of me play to win. If you are down by more then half a lineup, don't bitch me. You do that sure one might get away next time.

This is much more my angle on this. I probably wouldn't even hit the guy. That would be too much given away, but I would probably make the guy hit the deck to get away from one.

But as another said I would agree, the rules are made to be broken as long as you have decided that it is worth doing after thinking about the rule.

He has been one of those that stereotypically starts "slow". Much like Texiera except for this year. I think they all made a pact to start off good this year, even though I can't stand the Yankees... anyway off topic
