You're seriously comparing a 1978 video game to a 2011 video game? That's a pretty weak way of making a point.

Do you realize that maybe people aren't complaining about the game? They are making suggestions about what can be done to improve it. If there weren't people on here critiquing the game, it would stay the same year after year. So if you want to play the same exact game with no improvements or changes year after year than by all means go ahead. All I know is I would much rather play a game that is constantly being improved because of gamers giving feedback on what can be done to improve the game.

The thing is that The Show has always been a game that is being improved because for once, the devs actually care. But this suggestion has been made a million times, even before the game came out when they realized that there were no rain delays or rainouts, just rain people complained about it. And every year, people complain about roofs not closing. The devs know the things we want, we just have to give them a second to put it in. They have a schedule and things they want to add on their own too, so not everything will get done every year. There's suggestions, and then there's just repeating the same issue over and over again.

Rain outs I don't understand why this is such a big deal. Now closing the roofs would be the shiznit.

I'm sure it all relates on what they feel is most important out of the issues that we have. So in other words would you rather have better player models or roofs that close. It's kind of pick and choose. I'm no game developer so I'm not 100% sure if that's how the process goes but I assume it is. I don't think they would just completely disregard our idea of having roofs close. What I really think is that they had some type of timeline on when they wanted to add in weather effects. They did that this year, so now that they have that they can add in more to the weather effects. Hopefully that means we get rain delays (MLB 2k7? did this really well) roofs closing, and whatever else they may want to add. That's just what I think they do. I don't think they just disregarded our ideas about things because this is one of the most hard working dev teams for any of the sports video games out there. I really think they just go by a timeline of things they've set to get done each year and roll with it whether the gamers like it or not. Then they also leave time to put in some of the things that the gamers request.

I know. The lack of detail is astounding.

The point is, it has only been 30+ years, and look how far we have come. Yet people whine and complain. So there are not rainouts...I think we still have a marvelous product.

30+ years is a grain of sand on the beach of time, as it were. That is not very long at all, but look at the difference. You know, I just realized I am trying to explain what my point is to someone who said there was no point (or a weak one at best). Game over, man! Game over!

I have noticed a few changes with cloud formations and some rain but there's no rainouts or delays? Am I missing something? And why does it rain at Safeco Field and the roof doesn't close? Rainouts and rain delays would add realism to the game because you would have to use strategy determining how to play guys when you're playing doubleheaders. MVP Baseball had all this in 2004. It really puzzles me why 7 years later The Show still hasn't introduced this into the game. Overall it's a great game. I think it's time they added real weather that actually affects the game.
I've never understood this notice that MLB the show had to have rainouts to make it "more realistic". So would you also like people running on the field to also make it more realistic? Or even the stall tactic that managers use to get pitchers warm in the bullpen? I think adding the little rain they did is just fine.

The Show already has both of those things.

Haha yes you are correct. The fans running on the field cutscene is rare but it is there.
