While I think constructive discourse over issues this game has and does have have led to many improvements to the title from year to year. That discourse does not mean people are not enjoying the game over all, just working with tools at their disposal to achieve an end. I do not condone the blatant "this game sucks" threads and posts, but the people and posters who constructively work for the betterment of the game and the community are valuable.

Honestly, reading your OP a little more closely, I think you are trolling here a bit.

I always enjoy the "Golden" irony of someone posting a thread complaining or "discussing" people who complain.

I play RTTS and exhibition games.... for fun.

I don't even bother with franchise or season. I don't care if rosters are perfect and I don't care who trades for whom.

I just play the game, pretty much default All-star.

Heck, I lose MOST of the time and I still have fun.

Its just a game. I love baseball.

No, Knight, its more than complaining about excessive and unconstructive moaning and bitching.

Like I said, I cant stand the baseless and mindless banter and complaining either.

Read his post again. It a pretty broad shot gun blast at a lot of people whom like to get into the "dirty details" surrounding this great game.

Unfortunately this forum is headed the same direction as the NCAA and Madden forums. Which makes zero sense, because the quality of this title is light years beyond those two imo.

It's the internet, there are people who nit pick simply to nit pick. It is what it is, but i find myself spending less and less time here, and that's ok. God bless Twitter, where there's a nice group of level headed OS'ers and not the sky is falling crowd.

This thread is going in circles. There will always be "Chicken Little's," but instead of dragging their story on, why not just ignore them? Myself, I could care less how many people think 'the sky is falling', because I know that it is not. Instead of worrying about what they are saying, I will just focus on trying to be a productive member of what I think is a great forum and amazing community. If you do not feel the same, why not just press the x button near the top of your browser and move on?

I don't post a lot and I'm not going to get into all the reasons why I think that constant moaning and complaining is absurd, but I'm just gonna say this.

I don't think I've had as much fun with any sports game-at least in recent memory-as I'm having with this one. And I literally JUST STARTED my franchise on Saturday. I have every intention of finishing a FULL SEASON for the first time since God knows when on a baseball video game, and I plan on loving every minute of it.

The rush I got playing my first regular season game alone is enough to keep me coming back for more!!

The problem is in a thread like say the patch thread, as you are trying to get information, those posts create a lot of white noise in the thread and are difficult to avoid. They seem to pick up steam as the chicken littles seem to feed off each other.

I guess the issue is when trying to get actual information these people tend to muddy the waters simply because they can.

I still play this for fun. I really enjoy doing my Rangers franchise. I dont care if it's "real" or not since it's my franchise not real life. I play every game so I never see these free agent glitches.

I only have to disagree on one point; you shouldn't hate to say it because you hit the mark right on. The truth is always ethical, as far as I am concerned.

I also completely!!! agree on the point you are making here. This was a post I made in another thread the other day, and of course, was almost instantly attacked for it.

No one ever seems happy with the game unless they have some part of it to complain about.

Please go watch a You-Tube video of Mattel Intellivision baseball. Then watch MLB 11 The Show. Then play the game and realize what a great thing you have.

I was not trying to wise, mean or rude, but seriously I was feeling exactly along the lines of what you were saying in this thread. Every time I play this game I say (usually out loud), "Wow, that looks incredible!" at least a few times.

The game also plays better than any other baseball game I have ever encountered (thought the best up until now, for play and feel and everything, was Sammy Sosa High Heat 2001). It is the pinnacle of the video game representation of baseball that has been made, no doubt in my mind.

Only other game I rate above it for feel is the incredible Pro Evolution Soccer game. They just "play" as though it is REAL soccer; that is the best sports representation I've ever dealt with, with MLB the Show being #2.

Thanks for posting, I am glad there are others who agree how great this is and how much it should be (and is) appreciated!
